Is this the same as v357?

Yes, but 357/v357 are a silver oxide batteries of the same voltage as LR44 (which is only an alkaline battery). In other words, the LiCB is very much like an alkaline LR44 and is a rather simple equivalent to a 357 or v357 button batteries which are silver oxides. It is certainly a good buy battery.
