I have always wanted a nixie clock for decades. They are very expensive so it was an unfulfilled dream of mine until now.While going through Amazon's selection of nixies in order to, perhaps, finally get one as a special birthday present, I discovered this amazing alternative. While still pricey for a niche purchase, it offers incredible value in that it "appears" like a nixie but with additional advanced features to warrant its price.It does require minor assembly but anyone with working fingers can put it together in a matter of minutes. Programing the clock is not difficult once you simply give it a go. I have not delved into the advanced programing (one can substitute one set of "numbers" with custom replacements or, if preferred, an image or their choosing). Again, something impossible with a regular nixie clock.PROS:Less expensive that a nixie clockSmall, lightweight, and easy to assembleThe "tubes" are each individually programmable to display whatever the owner choosesThe "tubes" will likely last longer than a nixie vacuum tube (I'm assuming based on each's technology)It gives of a pleasant backlit glow that can also be programmed.Bright displayWall adapter-plug included (allows USB chord to be plugged into an outlet)Free software available for customizationVery professional and "ship-safe" packagingArrived quicker than expected (14 days)Looks awesome!CONS:The power cord is short - an extension or replacement is generally required unless it is near a computer or outletEstimated shipping can be substantialOne note about my unit - when I set mine up one of the displays had a very thin green line running vertically through the entire display. It didn't prevent me from reading the clock but was noticeable if observed close up. I contacted the seller and in just a few hours they had responded and sent a replacement. Superior service! Given the individual nature of the parts, this can guarantee a long, long life for unit.

This is an addenda to my below entry. The folks at Banjicraft were quick to get back to me and after a couple of emails they decided to send me a new unit that is working fine and sitting on my desk in front of me as I write this review. I thank Banjicraft for their prompt resolution and would recommend them despite my first unit failing after 8 months.Also I reallly liked the new packaging. It is well thought out and really safely delivers this clock to a client.**********************************I bought this clock in June of 2021. I was pleased with the look and technology. But know just 8 months after purchase I looked up and the unit is frozen with number the have nothing to do with date or time. The display is '45blank585' and does not change. I can turn it on or off but these numbers come up. When I try to set the time it seems to work but at the end the clock returns to the frozen number above.Anybody have any ideas - 8 months is to soon to trash this clock!

While this is a very nice, well crafted addition to any desk, as well as being a great conversation piece, there were a couple of shortcomings.The best advice I could give is to go to the very bottom of the Amazon page and find the documentation there as the clock does not come with sufficient documentation to successfully set it up. I was all but ready to give up and send it back when I discovered this point.- The software for setting it up leaves a lot to be desired and was poorly written and implemented. Using Gray text on a black background should be outlawed as just poor practice.- The size of the "unscalable" window is way too small.If it weren't for the fact that the clock was just so darn well made (quality is excellent) I would return it.I hope the purpose of my opinion in this review causes notice to make a pretty good product an outstanding product. But beware, even though it is assembled, connecting to the computer and installing the drivers with the correct version of driver/IPS Clock Software was not as straightforward as I would have expected.Create a better interface and you'll hit a home run.!!

I have seen regular Nixie clocks but I wanted an LED. I did see alot on Amazon but this particular one caught my eye. Now it will take some time to ship and it was definitely worth the wait. Very easy to put together and put on. "NOTE" do not push the USB-C plug all the way into the clock the display will not turn on and you will think it is defective "it is not". You need to plug it in but do not push it all the way in, press power and the clock fires up, easy to set time and different styles BUT i got this for the LED Nixie look. Once again this is LED, not the regular nixie tubes. This is not a paid review, if this device was "crap" I would say so.....*One thing I wanted to add, it has nice color changing LEDs in the back that give it a nice glow, they can switch between: sweeping, chase, or fade in/out.

I loved the esthetic it added to my desk for the first three days. Fourth day, two of the tubes crashed and even with uninstall/reinstall they would not work. I suspect a component failure. There was only one extra tube that came with it so I returned it.

Got this as a surprise for my boyfriend and he absolutely loves it. Preferred the default font as seen in the product pictures (I do too). Its super unique and fun to watch! Was quick set up, and installing the software had no issues.

Started off great , looks great and then the panels quit working after a week . Sent back .

My son was drawn to the idea of a Nixie clock, but not to the possibility of having to source and replace Nixie tubes due to their potential short lifespan. This clock uses IPS displays to take the place of the tubes.Clock looks fantastic, old school and new tech combined. After attempting to trade his IPS clock for a traditional Nixie and failing, I was "forced" to buy a second Elekstube IPS clock for myself.

If your looking to buy an LED nixie tube clock, this is the real product!The clock itself is amazing, it was easy to set up and the amount of options for styles out of the box was amazing.I also cannot fault the customer service. After encountering a problem with the unit, Eleks were straight on to helping me out, and within a week the issue was resolved! Shout out to Ziyi for being fantastic for the support team!If your lookong for a great gift, or something to make your deak standout, I cannot reccomend this enough!
