Great Tuner with Great Functionality
Having friends and relatives who play both the guitar and the bass, people are always looking for a tuner to use to synchronize the chords on all their instruments. Using multiple tuners, one for each instrument, always produces a slightly different tone to each string from one instrument to another, and when you do a lot of performing, this can greatly throw off the entire sound of the group.Playing the electric drums, I personally have not had a lot of hands on experience with guitar tuners. Instead, my instrument of choice simply involves making sure that each drumhead has been programmed to the proper sound that I desire. However, I did know enough to know what I was looking for when I decided to purchase a tuner for one of my friends. This tuner has all of the features that I set out to find when purchasing a tuner. The line input is perfect for our bassist and guitarist to tune their instruments through a patch chord for the optimal sound. The ability to support six string basses and seven string guitars greatly helps when using drop tuning for heavier metal that relies on power chords performed in dropped scales rather than standard tuning. The display is easy to read, and allows for sufficient tuning. The pitch is displayed in a very easy to comprehend fashion, and it picks up even the slightest of sounds when tuning, making even tuning an electric guitar without a patch chord possible with relative ease. It comes with a fold out back that supports the unit as a fold away stand so as to allow the device to be placed on a table or hard surface while tuning.Overall, the compact design, sleek display, and ability to support both guitars and bass instruments allows this tuner to have enough versatility to warrant a purchase. It allows a band to ensure that both the guitarist and the bassist are tuned to the same pitch. It's perfect for drop tuning, and the line input and output truly help with the process of getting just the right sound out of each string.

Great tuner!!!
I recently started teaching myself how to play the guitar. I bought an acoustic off my friend and I've been using online lessons on Youtube and About.com to learn. I had been practicing for about a month and realized that I had not tuned it since my friend did it when I bought it off him. I saw this tuner and thought I would give it a shot. Definitely worth it. It's easy to use and works great. It has in input and output socket for an electric guitar (I'm guessing). It also has a stand on the back, so you can prop it up while tuning. Small enough to fit in your pocket. I recommend this to anyone looking for an affordable tuner.

Very happy with this
Never in all my decades have I ever used a tuner. Always did it by ear. Got a new bass guitar, and thought that I would grab one of these since the cost was so low, and to see how well it worked. And I was very impressed.Very easy to use, clear display, with green and red lights showing you how close to the proper key you are, red for being flat, green for being sharp. And it was very accurate. Quick and easy, and got a couple of my strings truer than I had, and I thought they had sounded spot on when I tuned by ear.And for this price, a steal.

Well-built little tuner
What can you really say about a tuner? It works, it's small, it's got a little kickstand on the back if you're not plugging into it, and it hasn't broken within the first month. Five star product.Edit: So the time has come I needed to change the batteries in this thing. I slide off the cover to find two AAA batteries. For some reason they had some kind of liquid on them. I know I did not store it in a humid environment or spill water on it or anything. I don't want to say that it's battery acid that leaked, because I don't know what battery acid looks or feels like. Just a recommendation: change the stock batteries that it comes shipped with to Duracell or something.

Great item.
This tuner was more than what I needed at a price I could afford. It conveniently came with batteries, so no pesky trip to the store to find some. Getting a readout is as simple as plugging the cable into it, turning it on, selecting guitar, and strumming. I've never tuned a guitar before, and without even having to use the manual, I got my electric guitar tuned in less than five minutes. Plus it's very portable, and will even play each note out its built-in speaker to let you know what each note should sound like. I would highly recommend this for first-time guitar or bass players.

Tunes well with acoustic & electric
I've used this to tune both my electric and acoustic guitars. You just plug in an electric guitar directly, while the acoustic sound is received through a microphone. The accuracy on the electric direct connection is fantastic--lets you know if it's even slightly off. With my acoustic, the accuracy seems to drop slightly (perhaps due to lesser accuracy of the microphone?). Or, maybe, my acoustic guitar tuning mechanism just stinks because it's cheap. Either way, it will get you tuned up.The visual feedback is great--it'll light up green if you're in the right range, or red if you're off (flat or sharp). This sure beats tuning by ear.
