I found this sharpener very easy to use, with the two slots clearly marked. It's nice and steady to hold on a work surface and only takes a few strokes of the blade to get a keen sharp edge, even on my cheapo knife from Poundland that I thought would never be of any use.Having worn out two previous sharpeners very quickly I'll have to reserve judgement on the longevity of this product until I've been using it for a while, so maybe I'll add to the review at a later date, but so far I've used it a few times to give all my knives a make-over and have been delighted with the result. My favourite knife usually needs sharpening after the end of every meal's preparation, but so far has only required one treatment with this new addition to my kitchen and has remained super sharp. Lightning fast delivery too. Very happy.

WARNING! This really does sharpen your knives. I had been meaning to buy a sharpener for ages. My once sharp knives had gradually blunted and would bounce off tomatoes. I had read different knife reviews & this one came out well. The design is ergonomically good and it is small enough to tuck into your cutlery drawer out of the way. So I sharpened the first knife just befor I prepared my supper. The knife slipped through the tomatoes with no pressure. I then took a slice out of my finger!! I had got used to blunt knives. My father told me that a sharpening steel was the only way to go as the knives will become squared off over time & lose the angle to the blade. This sharpener has kept that angle. I've only had it a week so can't comment on its longevity or any long term effect on the knives but if it carries on as it has started then it's a very very good buy & a good bye to blunt knives

I am never going to get the hang of sharpening my knives like a chef so needed something more user friendly. This does the trick. It has given new life to our old knives and they even pass the tomato test! You know what i mean! Be careful though as even though its expected, once finished the knives are razor sharp so watch those fingers!

The order arrived quickly. It's easy to use and comfortable in the hand. I think it's important to follow the directions as too much pressure and overuse can wear out blades quickly. I used the light sharpener on my knives I use more often and re sharpend a couple which I hadn't used for a while and now they are super.

Bought as a gift for my brother for Christmas. He absolutely loved it! It's very compact (a lot smaller than I imagined) and when it was tested, it sharpened the knives beautifully. I also received emails from the supplier with details on how to use it and hoping that I was very happy with the product (and a discount code if I want to buy more!). Fantastic overall. 100% recommend.

I've been through many useless knife sharpeners in my time, but this one actually seems to work! I hope it doesn't fade away though, so I will be watching it carefully.Good grip on the work surface as well, so my remaining fingers can rest assured

Very easy to use sharpener that really does work!It's very stable when used on a flat surface and has two positions for sharpening. The first brings a dull blade to a level that can then be finished to really good sharpness in the second 'fine' slot. Great piece of kit
