VicoVation Opia2 & Vicovation Marcus Series CPL Filter 52mm

This reduces reflections from your own windscreen, and leads to a better image. You have to rotate it after installation to the correct position to block reflections effectively. It seems a little bit expensive, but I think overall it is worth it to get a clearer picture.

It does darken down the image a bit so it is doing something but it does not cut out reflections in the windscreen (which is what it is supposed to do). It also makes lens flare more prominent in the image when driving toward the sun. Not really worth the money for a very small improvement in the resulting image under the right conditions.

The Product Description states, “used along with Vicovation Marcus/Opia2 camera to reduce the reflection effect from the windshield, getting more saturated and beautiful video."In actuality the filter mounts to the Quick Mount accessory that is included with the camera. This is convenient in that, once you have adjusted the filter for maximum effect with the camera attached, you may remove the camera as often as you desire without disturbing the filter adjustment. (I do not leave the cam in my vehicle overnight as it is not covered by my insurance. I have a second, much less expensive cam, with a Parking Monitor that records activity at both the front and the rear of my vehicle. Unlike the OPIA2, it does have a functioning lithium battery that lasts thru the night.)The filter does greatly "reduce the reflection effect from the windshield, getting more saturated and beautiful video," so I've given it five stars.

I would add a tiny stem off the side of the lens so you can rotate it with your hand and allow adjustments for day and night.

The dash cam is GREAT with excellent video, but you know sometimes the sun hits your windshield in a way that is somewhat blinding. Well, that's what the camera picks up, too. This filter is like a good pair of sunglasses to minimize that glare, thus giving you a better video. Well worth the purchase!

Yes, I know I could have purchased a CPL filter for $10. But I wanted to make sure I wouldn't be stuck with a cheap filter.I'm happy with this purchase! This filter does a great job of cutting down sun glare on the windshield.
