Great processor for the price (Once Overclocked)
Great processor for the price, running on ASUS Z170i Pro Gaming motherboard overclocked @ 4.7ghz stable on Hyper212 evo.Having moved from AMD Athlon x4 760K, I can say this processor comfortably beats it and you get a good upgrade path for the future. Although this is a dual core it can run most games just fine at 60fps having paired mine with a GTX 970. Games can be hit and miss on a dual core so keep that in mind; GTA 5 runs smooth with occasionally some dips, Shadow Warrior 2 runs very smooth too at 60fps capped. Mafia 3 on the other hand is unplayable at 2fps but Mafia 2 is smooth as butter solid 60fps capped. Also keep in mind you cannot record gameplay in background with GeForce Experience (ShadowPlay) Share while running a game, as encoding and running a game at the same time on this dual core is a struggle.Overall best processor for a budget build, I didn't see the i3 6100 worth the price costing twice as much and not that much of a performance jump to justify it's price tag, an i5 would be the one worth to go.

Amazing for the price, unbeatable with an overclock
Can't believe the price of this CPU for the performance level given. I put a different BIOS on my motherboard which allowed me to control the BCLK and overclock the processor. I managed to get 4.3GHz easily with no change in voltage. I was going to get an i5 but I don't think there's any point now! I've paired this with an RX480 and can play most AAA titles at 60fps.
