Very durable but hard to clean if there is food imbedded into it. Need to take the garden hose to it to fully clean it.

Finally an affordable, tough bed!
Really, really easy to clean. It does not have a removable, washing machine cover—rather it boasts a well-made sturdy outdoor water hose-able surface, which is our preference. I don’t have a giant washer, so that’s not even an option for us. This bed may work well in a machine, and I’d drop it at the laundromat if it needs it in the future. We have two Border Heelers—mixed Border Collie and Blue Heeler. Beautiful and amazing dogs. Also stronger than 90% of dogs, or 110% more stubborn. They have limitless tenacity. We have a place they love to go under our brick house—maybe it was used for wood storage accessed from outside, but it is perfect to keep them safe if a storm pops up while we are away. Our boy kept growing, and I heard him whimper crawling out of that hole…so we rolled the rock back over it to save him from arthritis and hip problems. Our girl is the perfect little size, but she loses the space as well. In order to feel secure, apparently, they literally bulldozed our pool fence—we have just invested $3,500 for a fence company to come out and install a higher quality fence. They dig 3 feet holes in the yard—they try to dig and tunnel under our sidewalk. Yes, we have working farm dogs on a regular property. We rescued the mother dog by keeping her when she showed up in terrible condition at our house ready to deliver 6 puppies. My husband fell in love with her—and I loved one of her boy puppies (hence the set of dogs). They are in a PetSafe invisible fence during the day out in the yard, and they are crate-loving babies who come in every night around dark. It was a gamble—and I’m glad I took it. They destroyed all blankets, but I can’t stand them in the crates with nothing. These are 100x better than nothing. They repel hair, water, and smell. They wash perfectly with the water hose and dry quickly. I use the pet hair sweeper over it, and all of that Collie hair practically jumps off of this bed. I could not recommend it more. I don’t think of our dogs as destructive chewers—but our boy would almost eat a woven blanket. The beds do not have any snags or parts that look good to chew on, which has been absolutely perfect. We couldn’t be more satisfied. Perfect fit for the crate. Also I really appreciate the loops for hanging on the back. No more draping over pool chairs!!We have been using two of them for about a month—will update in ) months. 100% recommend you giving this a chance! It’s always a gamble, and every dog is different. Oh, and our big boy dog comes in wet if he decides to take a dip in the pool—again, we are waiting on the fence company. The bed repels his dog + wet dog smell. They work perfectly for us!!

Finally! A bed he doesn't destroy.
I've been through countless dog beds, trying to find one that my dog won't chew up. Many of these he will destroy in only a day or two. I've now had this bed in his kennel for over 3 months and it is still as good as new! I highly recommend if you have a chewer.

Not exactly machine washable
This was a bed for my great pyr husky mix's kennel, fits great! Hard to find a kennel bed in 48" that isn't a million dollars. Love the extra cushion in the sides, that being said this dog bed isn't meant to be super fluffy, there isn't a lot of padding in the bottom, enough to be comfortable. Which, between that and the fabric, is perfect for our puppy because she sleeps hot, and this dog bed won't keep her too hot but gives her cushion. The fabric itself though is a little noisey in the night when she moved around, we just through a sheet over top to silence it.The part that was disappointing was being able to wash it, part of the reason I got it, pups get sick and can't help but make a mess sometimes. She had diarrhea while we were out and needed to clean the bed in the washing machine, the washing machine ripped the delicate underside of the bed, the instructions say to wash in a machine without an agitator, most washing machines do (maybe not the new fancy ones?) And there is no way to get the agitator out, so technically I wouldn't consider this machine washable if you are required to have a certain type of machine, and no where on the site does it say that, don't get to find that out until it's too late. Guess I'll just have to duct tape it and hope she never had another accident? Sigh, really liked this dog bed besides the noise (easy fix) and not being able to actually wash it without buying a new washing machine.

Perfect for our Puppy's Playpen
This is the perfect mat for our puppy's playpen. It is thick and durable, machine washable (note we bought the XXL and it may be large for a small washing machine). It is a perfect fit in the playpen (which is a different brand). Definitely a find. The puppy is very comfortable with this mat!

So glad we bought this!
I could not be more grateful that we got this mat. It's SO easy to clean which really came in handy when pup had a nervous stomach his first night with us. He likes to rest his head on the padded edges. It's great! He doesn't try to chew on it either like he chews on everything else. He literally chews on his metal crate, but not the mat.

Love it!!
Omg finally a bed my dogs haven’t ruined by chewing or by accidents. Super easy to clean up and accidents using the washer. Hatted having to deal with beds that were cloth and had stuffing inside

Well made
Bought this pad to replace my last crate mat that was shedding fluff everywhere - thought it was a bit pricey but upon opening up I was quite pleased with the construction and the toughness of the material. It even has a grippy bottom. Only thing I don’t like is that the fabric is a lot louder when my dog moves around but that could change as it breaks in and not nearly as annoying as the bed shedding :) the fill seems almost gel like with a good spring to it. Happy with the product for sure

Seems like a good product.
Have only had the one dog bed for a couple of weeks and the second one for a few days. Seem very durable but time will tell. Great pattern. We have another similar bed in the large size for the past 4 years. If this is the same manufacturer and plant of origin, it is a great product considering the wear a dog puts on it by using it every day. The dog hair is easy to vaccum.

Lovely
I recently purchased the Midwest Home For Pets dog bed and I am thoroughly impressed with its quality. The bed is made of durable materials and provides ample support for my furry friend. The design is simple yet elegant, and it fits perfectly in my home. Overall, I highly recommend this dog bed to any pet owner looking for a comfortable and sturdy option for their furry companion.

Better for car or camping
Excellent quality, but noisy if your pup’s crate is in your bedroom. Every time our puppies moved we heard the rubbing sounds. Cotton, soft or fuzzy materials are silent. Thus, I use these in my Jeep instead.

Decent
Ripped on the first wash but wife sewed it back up and has been through a few more wash cycles no issues
