Excellent Product
This is an excellent product that was exactly (almost) what I needed for my project. I needed a slim, non-overbearing, attractive edge cover for an edge of 1/8" acrylic. It fit perfectly and the final result was verysatisfactory. As far as some precautionary notes ... the edging itself is NOT totally clear but opaque (milky).Placed on clear acrylic it is still acceptable and does not detract from the aesthetics of the piece. Adhesion is good so far. I would suggest spending a little more time ensuring adhesion with pressure after completion.Application is a bit tricky when first beginning but does slip over the edge easily once started. Suggest running a piece of fine sandpaper on the edge of the piece to smooth and remove any burs. Use caution as to not remove the red tape while installing. Do not force the edging. Tape will remove easily once the edging is in place as shown on the video/instructions.Special "caution" ... the video shows the edging installed around a square corner making mitered cuts. In reality, this is easier said than done. I practiced on a piece and failed each time. If miters are not cut exactly, the corners will look sloppy. The edging does not cut as easily as the video shows. I used very sharp crafting scissors and an Xacto knife and was not able to get exact cuts.To compensate, I ordered small clear adhesive corner protectors from Amazon and butted the edging up against these corners. The result was a very professional looking project. Suggest you ensure the corner protectors are compatible with the thickness of your piece. Also, after installing the corner protectors, I used a small clamp on each one to remove any air bubbles and smooth out the adhesion.Hope this helps. Good luck with your project.
