Without doubt the best iron I have ever used
A brilliant iron albeit slightly on the heavy side, which doesn't worry me but if you had a weak wrist you might tire quickly. It has a good long lead so you don't need an extension lead, the controls are clear and easy to set, and it steams very effectively and removes crease effortlessly. Very solid when standing upright and I haven't managed to knock it over yet! Very good safety features which switch it off if left unattended. Without doubt the best iron I have ever used and I would recommend it to anyone. Thoroughly deserving of 5 stars.

the best iron in the market
what can i say,,,probably the best iron i seen so far. its heavy has hell and it drinks water in the same way i drink beer, but it vaporises wrinkles on clothes at the same velocity superman spins the earth, leaving your clothes very straight and smooth in the fastest time. i which i could take the wrinkles from my face in the same way this iron takes it from my shirts,,,,after three expensive crappy rowenta, i finally found this iron to be worth every penny. my regret in not buying two.

Perfect in every way, but steam poops dirt on my clothes!
Bought this back in March and quite early on I started to have issues with it. Whilst I love the iron itself (it glides well, the weight is perfect, it heats up fast, controls are simple), it spits out dirt, constantly. As soon as I turn the steam function on, it literally poops like an incontinent bird all over my clothes. I don't use tap water, I use proper ironing water, and I give it a clean very regularly. I'm hoping it is just a fault with this particular one as I do really love the iron otherwise. I'm having to contact the manufacturer to see if I can get a replacement.

Steaming Along
A marvellous iron. It has automatic cut of if it's left unattended. Suits me as I'm in my eighties and can be a bit forgetful. It's a bit heavy and it guzzlers water but it does a great job of ironing everything I throw at it. It has an easy to remove plug at the end which alows me to empty any limescale and rinse it out. Buy it you will not be disappointed.

Good Iron, the second time around. Bravo Amazon for the lack of pain.
As has been summarised by others this is overall a good Iron. The temperature control is rather stiff in sliding across from Max to Min, but only at one position around three quarters of the movement of the slider. Also the steam slider on the top that also doubles up as a dipstick is not easy to module from Steam to No steam, where to place the slider in the middle for medium levels of steam is somewhat stiffer than I would have expected. Perhaps this function is only On/Off rather than a modulating range, however I don't see how else the levels of steam can be controlled, whilst other reviewers have mentioned that water is consumed quickly due to the power/consumption of the iron, others still have mentioned this isn't as bad if the iron is set to medium levels of steam. The user manual is fully pictorial, this it is open to interpretation of how some of the controls work. The drainer/de-scaler plug is easy to remove, however the water contents do not drain as easily as I expected. It feel like there are two compartments where the water sits, thus you have to tilt the iron backwards and forwards in order to drain all the water through the plug. It's not as heavy as I thought it would be having read other reviews, but each to their own I guess. If you eat your Weetabix each morning you should be fine with it ;) Overall I'm happy with it, but I'm giving it 4 stars because the first Iron I received was leaking water from the bottom steam holes when in the upright position or the down position when the iron was turned off. I requested a return from Amazon and a replacement was delivered within 48hrs of requesting a return. Amazon covered the shipment costs back and conveniently I was able to drop off the package at a local Amazon returns drop off point (local petrol station). 5 Stars to Amazon for the service and convenience! The replacement Iron does not leak coincidentally.

A great all rounder
The Tefal ceramic sole plates are unbeatable in my view- they glide over the items and as a quilter I use my iron a lot and need something I can rely on. This model is a good weight and has a reasonable size tank and good steam jets. It also has a really good point to get in areas around buttons. A great all rounder- ideal for the family ironing heap and intricate patchwork projects.

Great on baby buttons
I love this iron. I had read a few reviews that said it was a bit big when going around buttons but I iron baby dresses with the smallest buttons on earth and it works perfectly. It is heavy but I quite like that in a good iron.

Would be a great iron if it had more staying power
Honestly dont bother. Whilst the iron works perfectly well - WHEN IT WORKS. After 15 months, despite following all the care instructions to the letter the iron stopped working mid pile. Contacted Tefal customer services as despite it being out of guarantee I would have expected it to last longer than it did. The agent told me that their irons should last between 1 and 3 years. So basically every day out of its guarantee is a bonus. Would be a great iron if it had more staying power. Do not consider 15 months and ยฃ60 a very good deal at all. Despite owning numerous Tefals over the years, this is the final straw. Moved over to a cheap Bosch to see how that fairs.
