Tefal FV9630 Ultimate Anti-Calc Steam Iron, 2600 W

A brilliant iron albeit slightly on the heavy side, which doesn't worry me but if you had a weak wrist you might tire quickly. It has a good long lead so you don't need an extension lead, the controls are clear and easy to set, and it steams very effectively and removes crease effortlessly. Very solid when standing upright and I haven't managed to knock it over yet! Very good safety features which switch it off if left unattended. Without doubt the best iron I have ever used and I would recommend it to anyone. Thoroughly deserving of 5 stars.

A marvellous iron. It has automatic cut of if it's left unattended. Suits me as I'm in my eighties and can be a bit forgetful. It's a bit heavy and it guzzlers water but it does a great job of ironing everything I throw at it. It has an easy to remove plug at the end which alows me to empty any limescale and rinse it out. Buy it you will not be disappointed.

Works like a dream compared with our old iron. Shirts are a doddle.I bought it as a present for a family member, but have used it myself today.UPDATE;Well, I managed to buy one of these for us (using the one day offer code for a tenner off) and used it the day it was delivered.My good impressions have been reinforced. It makes ironing, if not a pleasure, at least acceptable.Performance is good and the weight is a factor in getting good results.If the longevity is good - it's too early to say yet - I rate this as a very good purchase.Oh dear While happy with the way the iron works, I have to report an issue with the sole-plate. A small portion of the coating has wor away after only 6 months of careful use.Amazon were unable to effect a straight exchange at the time, but did offer a discount on the original purchase price, which I have accepted.The iron still works OK, but I'm concerned about its lngevity. We shall see.

In a nutshell this is a great iron with good features to help you get ironing done quickly and with good results.Why do I like it?1) Good results - It produces a lot of steam and is very easy to refill as it has a large spout for replacing water.2) Easy to use - It has easy to use buttons to produce steam, sprinkle water onto your clothes whilst ironing and to set the temperature.3) Well constructed - It feels substantial but glides very easily, it is also very stable on the ironing board when you set it to one side.There are some potential drawbacks, it is heavy and the handle position at first felt quite far back but I have become accustomed to both of these.

Used it for two months already, very good product, becomes hot quickly and didn't burned any of my silk or lace materials. Very good for curtains and bedding linen as well as ironing wet clothes soon after removed from washing machine. DelightedLong cable, very helpful. You can see the level of water all the time. Switch on standby mode if not used. Thank you

what can i say,,,probably the best iron i seen so far. its heavy has hell and it drinks water in the same way i drink beer, but it vaporises wrinkles on clothes at the same velocity superman spins the earth, leaving your clothes very straight and smooth in the fastest time. i which i could take the wrinkles from my face in the same way this iron takes it from my shirts,,,,after three expensive crappy rowenta, i finally found this iron to be worth every penny. my regret in not buying two.

Honestly dont bother. Whilst the iron works perfectly well - WHEN IT WORKS. After 15 months, despite following all the care instructions to the letter the iron stopped working mid pile. Contacted Tefal customer services as despite it being out of guarantee I would have expected it to last longer than it did. The agent told me that their irons should last between 1 and 3 years. So basically every day out of its guarantee is a bonus. Would be a great iron if it had more staying power. Do not consider 15 months and £60 a very good deal at all. Despite owning numerous Tefals over the years, this is the final straw. Moved over to a cheap Bosch to see how that fairs.

Great iron. I saw this as a Best Buy in Which? magazine and bought it to eplace our old Rowenta. Have to say it has been great so far.. Been using it about six weeks now. The wide opening for getting the water in and out is really useful. No more pouring a trickle in the top of the iron. The steam is great and its a nice weight for ironing.
