I purchased two of these for my daughter and niece to make bracelets faster. They plug in which is awesome the bottom is made of metal and the bowl is plastic. The only thing is that they definitely work better if they are tilted at an angle but we just set a bookUnderneath and it’s perfect. Highly recommend especially for the price
