This product has kept my goldfish (small outdoor pond) alive for two weeks while we were on holiday. Good performance. The pond looked healthy, not full of algae or mildew of remnants of fish food. The water was clear and most importantly all fish survived. There was a little bit of food left. Great value for money. Easy to use, versatile and will use again; even when going away for a few days for ease of mind.

Feed your goldfish whilst away from home with these little pellets of food (the fish survived, anyway!). Rather costly but these were the best value ones and gave us peace of mind.

Very good product. First time using holiday food for the fish so was abit worries as a lot of reviews on other products said their fish died as it didn’t dissolve enough so after like 2 days we got mum to check the fish and they were fine and the food was dissolving great. Came back after a 10 day holiday and the fish were happy healthy and alive! Definitely does the job although we did put two in. It did make the tank abit dirty but the fish ate and were well so all in all I’d say it does what it’s supposed to

Went away for 2 weeks and added suitable blocks. When returned only 2 of 5 fish remained alive. It may have been my misunderstanding of how many blocks to put in, or perhaps the blocks weren't adequate. Given 2 fish stayed alive I can't go 1 star, so 3 seems fair. RIP Lenny, Carl and Barney

Goldfish seemed to like it!

Edit: I'd previously given this a five star rating as my fish loved it and I could leave them alone for a week knowing they'd be well fed. I've recently bought some more packs and on two trips away returned to find unhappy fishes and a moldy furry food block. The fish won't touch this at all anymore. I tried putting a block in whilst I was still at home, so I could watch them, but they just swim up to it, then swim away and ignore it. After two days it gets green fur growing on it, which is disgusting and they're hardly likely to eat it then. The previous blocks could be left for over a week and any remaining food would still look fine. I can only assume they've changed the recipe as my fish used to love this (see original review below), but now I'm stuck with finding a new way of keeping the fishes happy when I'm away. Very disappointing, as this stuff was brilliant and so easy to use. Previous review: Great stuff. My fish love eating and spend all day munching on plants and anything else they can fit in their mouths. I was worried that they'd scoff a whole food block down in one day as they've done that with other brands of goldfish holiday food that I've tried. But this stuff is great, I did a trial using half a block and they made it last for five days (I have three 3.5 inch goldfish (2 Shubunkins and a Comet) in a well planted 240L tank). I have since left them on their own for a week and they were fine. They seem to enjoy the food without feeling the desire to constantly eat it...which is how they are with veggies and other treats. It didn't dissolve or make the water murky or dirty, it holds together well until the fish nibble on it, so very happy and will use again.

My neighbour who was looking after my fish said they ate it in a day, fat little buggers. They’re now on a diet. If your fish aren’t greedy it’ll do the job nicely if they are greedy well they’ll get fat
