Excellent alternative to metal blade
This is an amazing tool and a great alternative to a sharp, metal blade. My elderly mom was moving and I bought this for her to open boxes with and it worked well for her. The shape makes it easy to grip, you have to push the button while holding it, but the grip and shape make that an easy task. The size is perfect for most hands, big or small. I like that you can't cut yourself with this but it cuts just as quickly and easily as a metal blade.

The Best Box Cutter
This is simply the best box cutter I've ever used.It's easy to hold, cuts accurately, evenly and smoothly, and best yet, doesn't cut you if you touch the blade. The lock mechanism is secure and easy to engage/disengage, and the blade stores firmly within the cutter. This is an innovative and functional box cutter with a unique design. The only drawback is that you have to use proprietary blades, one is included preloaded in the cutter, but given the benefits this is a fair tradeoff.Highly recommended.

Box opener
I wish that the blade could be locked in place when using. I know it also came with the option of the blade out which I feel is dangerous. The one I bought you have to hold it in place with your thumb when using it to cut or the blade retreats back inside the handle. You have to have strength in your thumb to use it. It's a great little cutter but I have problems holding it in an opened position for a long time because I am recovering from a stroke. Otherwise it's great. I think most people don't have my problem

Not for Me! But Good Box Cutter
I like the ergonomics, and it slices fine, but having to keep pushing on the button while cutting and when cutting lots of boxes, is not fun. They have the auto lock. Should have bought. Otherwise, made well, works well. Good box cutter. Design has many advantages.
