Just enough for what I needed will have to wait for feedback from my dwarf Ts but I’m guessing they’re happy enough…. It’s not to dry and not to damp so perfect for them 👍

Best substrate for tarantulas/scorpions
Best substrate ever for inverts! My terrestrial species love to burrow and this holds their tunnels really well. I find it's a great natural choice for them instead of coco fibre. Springtails have inhibited the humid enclosures and I didn't add them at any point so I'm sure this soil has eggs inside. Fantastic substrate and free clean-up crew! Very pleased and will always use 👌

Worth the purchase
I bought this because of an impulsive tarantula purchase and needed substrate ASAP. Dispatched and delivery was quick. The substrate was moist when I opened the bag which was a downside for my tarantula but that’s ideal to have it easy to pack down. My only gripe is why is it not resealable?

Big bag!!
It drys out fast on my praying mantis enclosure but I am new to owning praying mantis and am not sure if that’s normal it’s a much bigger bag than I expected which is great!!

Attracts fungus gnats
I've been keeping tarantulas for over a year on just coco fibre. I've been looking to provide a more naturalistic substrate for some time and came across this. It looks great and definitely does hold moisture but ever since I started to use it there are now hundreds or fungus gnats all around the two enclosures with the new substrate. I know they are harmless to tarantulas but it's not very nice having them all over the area, inside and out of the two enclosures.
