Friendly Natural Straw Based Cat Litter 20kg, clear

I have three cats two house cats that I have had since kittens and a stray I took in 7 years ago, so I have two separate litter trays, the pink clay type litter I have used for years was causing problems with the dust and not holding the urine smell too well . I always clear the soiled bits morning and during the day and night time and the two house cats have a deep litter so i was doing a full litter change every 3 days really because of the urine smell and same with my stray cat. I did a lot of research on litter I know it sounds daft but I wanted to find the best solution to the two problems . I read all the reviews on this litter on here and on other websites also , and decided to purchase this one which is expensive but that i didn't mind if it does the job . It arrived last Thursday after a few e-mails to the company 10 days to arrive their customer service has been brilliant no complaints at all. The results on using it my two house cats were not sure I had to mix it with their own I thick maybe I did it too deep and the pellets are very big, I still did my usual removal but for them it's not working they are not hiding the soiled bits and had to do a full litter change Sunday only 3 days of using it I will say the urine smell is being contained but they are trailing it around the kitchen and house , it does change to dust when wet but i am having problems with litter tool removing it my other little one in the second tray seems ok with it, but having problems removing the soiled bits. it's a considerable purchase and I'm not complaining but I felt I should write a review because that's what I did read everyone's reviews. It's not the one for my little ones and it's not the for me working with it. My little stray who is not a stray another more she is part of my family is ok with it so i will have to use it for her the other two will go back to clay base for the time being so the research will go on . I hope this has been helpful it's a good idea and i'm sure it's right for a lot of cat households but not mine.

I bought some of this cat litter from the RSPCA when I adopted my cat – decided that was a recommendation, so have continued to buy it.

We've been using the Oko Cat's Best litter which is great for flushing but it tracks all over the place. So far this Friendly Natural Cat Litter has been bang on. The cats don't seem to mind it - as recommended we introduced it initially mixing it with the last of the Oko so it was a gradual change. But now it is being used on it's own and it's proving a hit. It can be flushed or composted and so far we've had no tracking from the two cats, maybe because the pellets are fairly large so they don't leave the litter tray ( a covered one in case that makes any difference) . It has a light minty smell and we have had no suggestion of bad smells but we do clear the animal waste a couple of times a day.

This product is more ecological and easier to dispose of than the Fullers Earth type. You use more volume but more economical anyway. 20kG lasts us about 4 months.We moved to a rental home for the winter and our 16-year-old cat did not appreciate the big outdoors here. This litter helped her turn into an indoor cat easily. It is more natural for her to use.

This litter is environmentally friendly and it smells nice - kind of minty. Unfortunately, two of our four cats won't go near it, and the other two track it all over the house, because the pellets are quite large. Until the (huge) bag is empty, I'll have to use this in half the litter boxes and a clay litter in the other half, because otherwise the two that don't like it will go on the floor. (Don't get this if your cat is fussy about his litter.)

Simply the best I have used. Not only is it easy and clean to use, the cats love it. It is also biodegradable so can be dumped in the compost heap to rot down with other garden waste

We bought this product first from the Rspca for our new cat, I contacted Friendship Estates regarding this to buy and found it at Amazon, price was good and delivery very prompt. I would order again.
