These Stabilo refill pencils are great for schoolwork due to their grip and sturdiness. Moreover they do not require a sharpener. But of course after a while they run out. So it is good that refills are readily available and to have a stock of spare ones at hand. I only found them expensive. I paid 65 pence per refill. For that price i can buy several traditional pencils, while these are much shorter (5 cm) than a traditional pencil. So you pay up for the quality and convenience. I praise Stabilo for their commercial insight. But 4 stars given this pricing issue.

The lead falls out of the pencil too easily. The pen is wonderful. The pencil is not worth the hassle.
