I don't write many reviews but these strings are so amazing that here I am. First, let me say that I have many high end guitars (Martin, Taylor, Collings, etc...) and have been playing for decades. I've tried many types and brands of strings and have used Elixirs for many years. These blow the Elixirs away - the tone is far, far superior! I've put them on all my guitars now and they're really amazing. Describing tone is a fools game so I won't even try but do yourself a favor and try these. As for longevity, I just put mine on a week or so ago so I can't say yet. But, even if they don't last as long as Elixirs, they're so much cheaper and sound so much better that I'm more than happy to change them a little more frequently - after all it only takes 5 minutes. I tried the Martin lifespans - not a fan.

I have been playing Guitar for over 30 years and own many Martin Guitars. These strings because of there core are perfect for that guitar that sounds great but even when using light gauge, your fingers can get sore. These strings solve that issue without having to change anything major (i.e. neck, bridge, and/or nut adjustments). Beautiful tone and longevity. The strings have a very pleasing gold tone appearance even the unwound strings. Buy a set, give them a try, your fingers will thank you.

I put these on a 1981 Japanese Epiphone PR755s. The guitar has simlilar construction to a Martin D35 and sounds very much like a Martin HD28. The guitar is an impeccable professional guitar for sure. Having said that, I put a set of these and liked them fairly well. I usually change strings every two weeks, but I didn't this time. So six weeks came to pass and they still sounded good. I had purchased an additional set, so I threw them on. To my surprise the new strings didn't sound a whole lot better than the six week old strings that were on there. In fact, could they have gotten better with age? I don't know, but in terms of maintaining initial sound quality these were better than any of the Elixirs I've tried over the years. I'm using Martin strings on my acoustics almost exclusively. These strings do have a *little* more give than standard strings but not all that much. I have to play my guitars back to back to feel the extra flex.

These strings sound great and are at an affordable price.... I really like the fact I can get these strings in different sizes, delivered Amazon Prime straight to my home (sometimes same day), and I don’t have to either wait for longer a delivery time, keep a large stock on hand, or go to a music store to pick them up... When I need to change strings, I usually need it done quickly, need to use my guitar that night (it’s a tool of my work), and don’t have any real time to get it done... These are Martin acoustic strings and like their guitars, they specialize in the acoustic sound...

These strings do have a more lifetime over other strings I've used. The quality is excellent and the sound is nicely balanced. They sound a little less bright but I like the fullness. Excellent sound. They are on the expensive side but I intend to switch to them. Now I need a 10 pack to come out!

De momento no he cambiado desde hace mucho tiempo de modelo de cuerdas. Me encanta su sonido, y sobre todo su facilidad de tocar, notándose mas blandas al tacto que el resto, lo que facilita notablemente tocar la guitarra cuando no tienes tanta fuerza o eres aficionado. Además, de momento no he tenido ninguna rotura, las limpio siempre después de tocar y les aplico dunlop 65 de vez en cuando para lubricarlas, y ningún problema. Duran mucho, las suelo cambiar por tiempo, no por desgaste.

Marvelous. Bright tone, durable.
