Foot saver
These metatarsal pads are incredibly comfortable and well made. They have plenty of cushioning, which really helps absorb impact and takes pressure off the ball of my feet. Once they’re on, they stay securely in place all day.

Relieves the pain but isn't an option for every shoe
I was amazed at how well these relieve the pain from my Morton's Neuroma. I had been in severe pain when I tried them on in the evening after I got home from work and the pain went away instantly. The gel pad is very comfortable. I was excited to wear them to work the next day. Unfortunately, I discovered they don't fit well with all of my shoes and the longer you wear them in tight shoes, the more uncomfortable the seams and toe separation get. Basically, if you can't wear a thick wool sock in a particular shoe, this pad won't fit. Also if you can't open up the tongue wide enough to put your foot in without stretching your sock and the pad, it will pull back toward your heel and be super tight at your toes. Once your foot is in your shoe, you can't really move it around to get it back into place. But if you can find the right shoe to pair it with, and get it positioned correctly, it will provide total relief. Luckily I have a large pair of work boots that I can wear all day where the pad works great. I can go all day at work pain free, but I have to take it off when I get home to give my toes a break. It also fits well in my tennis shoes, but that's about it. I will need to get some of the sticky pads my doctor recommended for the rest of my shoes.

Helped so much with some odd ball of foot pain I experienced
Works really well to help cushion ball of foot. Had issues with severe pain when walking, ball of foot would just hurt, even not putting weight on the foot helped all that much. Went looking and found these. Figured I would give them a try and they worked really well to help distribute the weight and cushion at the same time. Didnt completely help take pain away but did make walking bearable and did enough that the foot could heal properly. Now i wear them just cause, mainly to help keep my foot cushioned while walking barefoot at home. So far they have helped and havent had any recurrent weird foot pain (like the reason I bought these in the first place) They took some getting use to since they're like half socks but it didnt take much time to grow accustomed to them, now i hardly notice them and even forget I have them on. First pair has lasted a long while so far especially woth how often I wear them, little bit of piling but easily trimmed and tidied up. Fit wise, felt a bit tight at first but stretched to my foot with ease and they stay put never felt like they would just fall off my foot.

Created a “Foot Wedgie”
I’m feeling pretty neutral about this product. As a nurse working 12 hour shifts at the hospital, my feet tend to hurt by the end of the day. I’ve tried cushioned insoles before, but they haven’t really helped much. At first, this product worked okay and it did provide a decent cushion under the pads of my second toes. However, after being on my feet and walking for most of my shift, the cushion would slide down toward the bottom of my foot. The stitching that separates the big and second toes did help keep it in place for a while, but eventually, it caused a bit of discomfort—kind of like a "foot wedgie." I even tried tightening my shoes to stop it from sliding, but that didn’t make a difference.

Zen Toes Metatarsal Pads
These are great if your pain is in the ball of the foot which mine is. I had bunion surgery about 25 years ago. Six months after the left one, I saw a bump and thought it was coming back. Had it x-rayed and a bone was broken. So a plate and 12 screws fixed it, but I still have a lot of issues with that foot. The other one is great. To keep them from coming off, I use athletic tape, wrap it around the foot a couple of times, and get it adhered to your foot and the pad. They stay in place and give relief

Way too narrow, sit too high
Edit. I changed my star my star review. The company reached out to me and offered a replacement pair in a larger size free of charge. If you have a wide foot order 1 size up from what their size guide shows then they will be super comfy These are NOT made for wide or large feet. Run very small, hurt to wear more than and hour. Unfortunately I am stuck with them because I was in the hospital and missed return window by 1 day

Uncomfortable, not much cushion.
I wear a women’s size 8 and bought a medium after looking at the reviews. It fit but was slightly loose. The ball of foot pad fit lower than where mine is and did not have very much cushion. The lip/ridge on the seams make the product uncomfortable to wear with shoes, socks, or on their own. It is as it described, but not the most practical or provides much cushion.

Metatarsal Pain
These pads were a life saver. I am able to wear them with open toed Birkenstocks and even with my gym shoes, which already have a custom-made orthotic. I bought the small and wear a 7.5 shoe size with a narrow foot. The pads do not slide up. I tried a different brand as well, and although I liked they had a little heavier padding, they kept riding up on the side and were very uncomfortable. They were cut just a bit narrower and I suppose might work for someone with a much smaller and narrow foot. The Zen Toes are great and although my pain has subsided a bit, I still wear them now and then when barefoot in the house with socks. The only reason I gave them 4-stars is because it would be great if the padding was just a tiny bit thicker. Other than that, they are great.
