With a two year old you never know where the mess is going to come from, so I love that these vovers fully encase the mattress. So far we have not had any leaks, so I cant speak of how "water proof" they are, but they were soft and pretty easy to install. So far so good!

I hadn’t seen the twin bed in assisted king facility until I moved in. Mattress n box spring are extra long not normal twin size, I’ll find someone who can use these but people move in n out a lot so I’ll order the correct size.

I was looking for a mattress protector similar to the ones I had purchased previously. I couldn’t find a label or brand name on the old ones. When I first pulled these out of the package, the inside material seemed plasticky, but once I washed and dried them on low heat, they became much softer and it was no longer noticeable. Also, there are no crunching sounds when sleeping on them. I bought two twin XL and they fit our mattress(es) perfectly. I also love that it has a zipper enclosure. My husband and I have split king memory foam mattresses with cooling gel and this protector does not seem to interfere with that feature. I cannot attest to whether or not it is waterproof because we have not spilled anything on the bed yet, but I am very pleased overall with my purchase.

Price for 2 twin mattress covers beat the competition hands down. I was a little nervous that the quality would suffer, but not so. I have a pillow top AND a regular twin mattress, and the covers fit easily and perfectly. The zippers were smooth. I would buy again, but I probably won't have to.

The inside lining itself is waterproof, or at least highly water resistant. No issue there. The outer lining though is absolutely not waterproof. In fact, it is actually water absorbent as the other reviews mentioned.Presumably the outer lining was done this way to improve the feel to the human touch, and it is indeed quite nice. But when I split my soda drink onto it, it quickly soaked up all the liquid and there was a ugly dark stain. I had to remove the mattress cover and wash it, so this was a large pain when the whole point was for it to be waterproof.1 star purely for this and this alone. My workaround was to reverse the mattress cover and put it on inside-out, thereby having the waterproof inside lining now on the outside. But I do worry that this may make the seams more easily torn though.
