Does its job!!!
This item is the best I have ever used to curtail my sweating. I sweat thinking about moving around and this headband keeps the sweat out of my eyes longer than any other I have tried.

comfy, lightweight, but it sucks
TLDR: comfortable and lightweight, but barely an absorption improvement over regular cotton sports headbands ...with possibly inferior performance. It's clear a lot of effort went into designing this thing (very fancy aesthetics) ...but what boggles my mind is that it feels like choices were made which dramatically limit it's functional potential. Specifically, the sides of the headband (ties/ends) are made from different material than the forehead piece namely an incredibly thin and flexible fabric which serves to be very comfortable and breathable but provides practically zero absorption or wicking capability as touted by the marketing. You can literally hold it in your hand and see the gaps between your fingers through the material like a thin veil. This choice of material was probably made because it's comfortable and light reducing overall weight of the product on a person's head ...but it hampers the key selling feature!!!I sweat like a garden hose when I'm doing hard cardio and always saturate cotton headbands which is what drew me to this product, but after many brutal sessions I've found the tie/tail ends completely dry (no absorption or wicking whatsoever) while the forehead piece is completely saturated and beads of sweat are running off the edges of the rubber inner liner right down the sides of my face and often still getting into my eyes. At least with a traditional cotton circular headband I can turn it 180 degrees around my head to buy more time after the front area is filled ...but with this you don't have that option. To ensure maximum wicking of sweat you have to use the same piece of fabric for the whole headband. This is basic logic. If you transition between fabric types you are literally creating barriers for lateral moisture transfer (wicking). From the marketing pictures I was under the impression that the core of the headband was one long continuous piece of fabric but it's actually multiple pieces stitched (?glued) together. There is little continuity to help in moisture transfer.Aside from being incredibly lightweight the only real functional advantage to this headband is that it's very thin and low-profile making it super easy to wear under a helmet or over large sunglasses without impairing airflow causing fogging. The knot behind the head just feels satisfying. To be fair this may just be a problem with the latest X3 series. I've never tried the original Halo headband or the X2 and perhaps they're based on a more traditional design with much better performance ...but as for the X3 goes it just doesn't deliver what you'd expect/hope for ...at least in my experience.I'll likely keep using it for light workouts since it's comfy, but for any serious sweating I would highly recommend saving your money and just getting a thick cotton headband like your dad or grandpa used to wear back in the day.

This makes yard work tolerable again!
I could barely do yard work in the heat for twenty minutes without stopping to mop the sweat from my face and my eyeglasses. That's no longer a problem!I bought the X2 version that ties in the back. The material is a bit stretchy, so I can take it off and put it back on without having to untie it. The length allows for an easy fit. The black color doesn't seem to get hot in the sun, either.Best of all: It actually stops the sweat from raining down onto my face! It's easy to hand wash in the sink and hang dry. Totally worth twice as much!

One of the most important gear for sports
I have used a few types of headbands from Halo - the standard editon, the Air series, recently this X2 sweatband. These X2s are heavier, and thicker like 2 to 3 times thicker than the standard edition. In this hot & humid weather in SG, these are great. I find them better than the standard edition. Way way better than the Air series. The Air series are useless. Because they are thinner than the standard edition, they become saturated with sweat very quickly. Sweat would be dripping off the sweatband into my eyes when I was preparing to serve (in tennis). Can't wait to try out the X2 ties. These are not cheap but they work great!
