Kase67mm to 82mm Conventional Step Up Filter Ring Adapter

Like all things on Amazon that are cheap, I tend to be hesitant on buying them. I recently ordered a 82mm Solar Filter for my lens (67mm filter size) for the upcoming eclipse because I couldn’t get the correct filter size in time. I opted for this adapter ring and was not disappointed! It threads on and off without any issues. It’s very light, since it is made of aluminum. It is easily installed and removed, they did a good job on the threading! It also has an anodized black finish, which matched the rest of the camera well, and made it look like it belonged there. Definitely recommend this brand if you’re looking to use one filter on multiple lenses!

The Kase 67mm to 82mm Conventional Step Up Filter Ring Adapter is a cheap solution for adapting filters between different lens sizes. While the material quality is average, installation is smooth and secure. It adds minimal bulk to the lens but may cause vignetting with wide-angle lenses. Overall, it's a good accessory offering good value for the price.

The inner ring’s threads stripped super easily and it’s now unsafe to attach (too weak). Given the low profile design, there are very few threads available to grip whatever ring this adapter is being screwed into which probably doesn’t help either. I’ll be ordering a replacement from a different manufacturer to see whether it holds better.

Works well, no complaints here.
