Hi, what is the colour like? looks like a swirl of purple and pink?

This throw is a lovely deep purple - no swirls of pink. I am quite fussy and I think they are great. They are well made:, thick and soft and DEFINITELY worth the money:-)

This throw is a very deep purple plum colour yes. Can be called aubergine too as there is not a lot of difference. It's very luxurious, I have bought two and I love them. It is darker than the picture, yes I am sure a lot of light was used for this picture. High street ones just don't compare at all. It's definitely a dark purple.

Would it cover a small corner sofa?

I bought this for my 4 ft small double and it's really too big. It's cosy, warm and soft and washes well. Cat loves it, too. Buy.

Is it fire retardant please?

All it says on the label is keep away from fire so wouldn't think so
