Great buy- especially for ladies-love it
Very small and compact I like that well hidden holds 5 rounds and even with cap on fits in your hand and easy to pop in weapon

Decent block, only works with push-type loaders tho
It's a decent block, but only works with push-type loaders because rounds sit deep in cavities; Too deep for twist-type loaders like 5 star, which can't grab the rounds. Material is ok quality, the hinge appears fairly flimsy, I don't expect it to last forever.

Love it!
Great for traveling. Holds enough ammo in a contained and organized case. Speed loader works good. Ready for the apocalypse…..

Best speed loader for a J-Frame
Smith & Wesson J-Frames are not the easiest to speed load. The cylinder does not swing out far enough for a speed loader to have a straight shot at the cylinder. So, you have to come in at an angle to clear the grips and cylinder release. And there is a good chance the loader will get hung up on those or the rounds will wedge in the chambers. Virtually every speed loader for a J-Frame explains how to release the rounds facing down before they are seated, and hope gravity will finish the job. Every other speed loader I have seen uses a twist of a knob to release the rounds from the loader which does NOT guarantee the rounds will be seated. This Ludex speed loader releases the rounds by pressing an extension on the back of the loader instead of turning a knob. That means a single motion will start the rounds in the chambers and either force the loader past the grips and cylinder release and release the rounds OR release the rounds and let gravity take its course. When in a hurry you don't want to be doing multiple steps (starting rounds in cylinder, pushing and then twisting a knob and knowing when to do each. Watch the video. One smooth motion regardless of circumstances.

Required a lot of modifying to get to work.
This is not a very good design. I don't know how this passed their testing phase. Problem 1. There are rings molded into the lid that secure on the back of the round to to prevent them from rattling around. Works with 38 Special but the lid won't close with .357 rounds because they're too tall. Problem 2. .38 rounds sit too deep, too low. A speed loader cannot lock in the rounds because it can't reach the rim of the cartridge. A speed loader will work with .357 because they're taller and can reach the rim. But now you can't close the lid because of the rings I mentioned earlier. So, you can't use it with .38 or .357 effectively. To make this work, I had to cut the rings off the lid and then drop SS 4mm thick spacers used in jewelry making into each hole. This raised the height of each bullet to where the speed loader could catch the 38 rim and I could close the lid with .357 with the rings on the lid removed. A lot of work to get this to work.

Case is great, speedloader itself can be fragile
I bought 2 of these. Thought they would be a really nice thing to have at the range to allow me to shoot more and load less. The cases are great, work exactly as advertised half the price of speedbeez but the loaders need work. Of the 2 I got, 1 had an immediate issue. There are metal pins in the center which grab the rim of the cartridge. These metal pins are set in the plastic loader and they are already falling out. 2 of them fell out and I could put them back but they were loose enough that they will fall out again. A dab of glue may fix this problem but these are just a range toy, not a legit speedloader meant for use. Speedbeez makes a speedloader with the exact same concept but out of full metal but they charge twice as much for the case thats at best the same quality. Buy this one for the case but dont skimp on the loaders themselves, they are useless if you lose one of those pins.
