Update: They solved my problem!
UPDATE: Updating my review to say that their customer service is incredible! I emailed asking if there was a way to troubleshoot my nail drill and unfortunately there wasn’t. Since I was out of warranty they offered to send me a new hand piece if I could cover shipping. It arrived so fast and I’m very happy they were able to accommodate me back to loving this drill and MelodySusie! I have their nail dust collector too which I love. I’ve had this drill a bit over a year and it was great until it just stopped working today. I had just started the process of filing off my nails and it died within a minute of me starting. Hardly filed anything off my pinky. The motor seems to have stopped working. Pretty bummed that it only lasted this long. I use it about once or twice a month or some months not at all.

Great nail drill!!
I have had this drill for 2 years now and gone through hundreds of nail sets and it is still going strong. I love the convenience of it being rechargeable, that definitely makes things alot easier with one less cord to worry about on my desk. Definitely beginner and professional friendly and will not break the bank. Worth the money. 10/10 would definitely recommend!!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
I’ve gotten this exact nail drill a total of 3 times: The first time it worked great and the battery lasted through 2 weeks of doing nails everyday. Then I charge it for the first time and the display completely dies and I can’t see how fast it’s going or which direction. Melody Susie and Amazon both sent me new ones. The second one lasted for 2 months and everything was great until it started stuttering and slowing down and the bit wouldn’t stay in place. I then opened up the third one and the battery won’t last for more than 30 min. It also won’t charge all the way even after being plugged in overnight. 3 nail drills all breaking doesn’t seem like a coincidence. I would recommend finding a different brand.

Nail Tech Review *1 year Update*
Originally I had posted that I really loved this drill and a year later, I can say the same. Mine is the one that does not include the digital screen. A year later, the hand piece started giving me issues and wasn’t working well yet the drill itself seems fine. I found out the company only covers up to 12 months of use. I’ve had this for 14 months and started having issues. They told me “it broke on your end” which I have taken well care of it and it only being a year seems like they can’t stand by their products lasting longer than 12 months. They offered me a free hand piece replacement if I paid $15 for shipping, which I went ahead and did. Did I expect the drill to last a very long time? No, but certainly around 2 years would be more ideal than a year. My other MelodySusie drill I got a year ago has some charging issues and I use that very little for personal use. If looking into these drills keep in mind it will get you as far as a year and most likely will need replacing. On their website it states all their drills last 2-3years which is very untrue. I want to love their products but they fall short on durability.

Lasted only 10 uses. *updated - problem resolved!
*Update- I reached out to MelodySusie on their website and sent a video of the problem. They promptly sent me a replacement. They stand by their product! I purchased this in August 2024 for personal use. I’ve used it maybe 10 times and it stopped working. It won’t spin unless you give it a push. Then when you put some pressure on it, it stops spinning again. When it worked it was great but it did not last long. I requested support from Melodie Susie via their website. It’s not a cheap product so I hope there’s a warranty. I’ll update the review if I hear back from the manufacturer.

Good quality- great for home/beginner use!
Love this drill. I do my own gel x nails at home and this drill makes the job so much easier! It’s pretty simple to operate and the battery does last a long time. Can reach high speeds for quick removal and it’s compact design makes storing it practical. I wouldn’t say it’s really quiet, it just depends on the speed you work with. I’ve had mine for 3 years and it’s just now starting to give me issues so definitely a good value for the price in my opinion! I do my nails every 3-4 weeks so you can do the math on how often it’s been used lol I also used it to do other peoples nails from time to time. I’ll most likely be purchasing this model again to replace my current one

Not bad for a first nail drill
I’ve purchased 2 of these drills and haven’t gotten more than 9 months out of them. They are great when they are actually working but both of the hand pieces stopped working around the 9 month mark. I used mine almost everyday since I was in nail school when I got my first one, and now am a professional nail tech, so it wasn’t a great option on my end to choose not to invest in something higher quality and better suited for my work. However, I’ve heard it’s not uncommon for this drill to stop working after around a year anyway. I also noticed it got really noisy and would vibrate a ton on and off after a few months of use, and it would get hot if you did use ~20krpm+ (typically necessary when doing soak offs) It’s compatible with most drill bits I’ve used and got the job done when needed, but definitely is better suited for non-professionals who don’t care as much about longevity, vibration, noise, and durability.

Works well. Charge lasts a long time. Helps a lot to remove my gel-x nails. Had to buy some more heavy-duty bits for removing gel-x though. The bits it comes with are moreso for nail prep than removal.

it’s beautiful and smooth running, it doesn’t make too much noise and is easy to use. i also wasn’t expecting it to come with drill bits and sanding bands, but there’s a more than decent amount of both!💗💗
