This item has some good features but my main issue with it is that the cable is far too short to extend to a nearby electrical socket and even with an extension lead it became an unsightly and unsafe set up . Not everyone has an electrical socket by a door. An extremely frustrating purchase. I hate returning goods but I did not waste time with this item.

Need help
I like the product but I can't seem to connect when I am out it keeps saying offline or connecting its ok when at home but then again it keeps going off line, anyone have any ideas please or a helpline number

Does what it says on the tin
This does everything stated and there is no subscription fees, big bonus. Knocked one star off as wifi connection very precarious, don't waste half a day trying to make the wifi connection stable, accept it is not reliable and connect via a cable then everything is perfect, btw my wifi signal strength was 39%

Awful
Bought this for a job I had to do for a client and what attracted me to this item was the ability to remotely unlock / trigger a electrical signal which in my case was to operate electric motorised gates which no other intercom that is operated via smart phone apps had on Amazon.First appointment when it arrived was it's entirely plastic rather the brushed aluminium that the listing image looks like.The intercom intermittently worked with my Samsung S8 via the Kbell app but the intercom would not always trigger an alert on my phone and there was a lot of having to restart the app on my phone to get it to work. Which in itself makes the intercom not really fit for purpose.Then I tried the iOS (Apple) app as the end users are a couple one has an Android smartphone and the other a iPhone. Once I added the second user to the app / intercom it only triggered a silent notification on the iPhone and stopped working on my S8 entirely.On the app there was a option to update the firmware so I tried that and the firmware installed successfully but if anything it made the situation worse. I even tried removing the iPhone entirely from the set up and tried getting it to work again on just my S8 and it just wouldn't play ball.I am a network engineer by trade and I believe that this intercom uses some sort of DNS service to simplify setup for the customer as usually with IP devices such as this you have to do quite a complex DNS set up especially for people that are using the device on a residential broadband connection which usually won't have a static IP address.... anyways basically this included DNS service isn't very good, gets overloaded at times prompting a network busy error. When the phone and the intercom are on the same network it doesn't use this DNS and when it was working the intercom alert was immediate on the phone but once the phone was on 4g or otherwise outside of the network the intercom is on the alerts when working were very slow with a good 5 second plus delay due to having to route this traffic via the DNS service which is more than likely based in China. No option to use your own DNS service such as DynDns.But even forgetting about this DNS issue even when the phone and the intercom are on the same network and therefore not using the DNS service it still was intermittent and then stopped working entirely.Finally I would strongly question the weather proofing capabilities of this unit and feel that moisture ingress would be a issue within a few months especially in the UK with out near constant wet weather. There is no rubber seals or other type of protection apart from a fairly loose fitting plastic hood as seen in the listing image.I don't know if I was just unlucky with this intercom or if these issues are common across all versions of this model but for me it's a definite faulty unit and no were near fit for purpose.

Works but could be much better
Works but the app is slow to ring and is not compatible with internal chimes (mechanical/digital). Had to sell this and got a Ring (version 1) doorbell instead, works much better and is the same price

Required mobile phone application not fit for purpose. Can't get an audible ring from the device or buy an add-on to do so
This product is not fit for purpose for two reasons:1. The 'phone app (at least on the iPhone) does not alert a caller unless it is open and visible - is the active application - on the phone. If you're reading your email or doing anything else you do not get an alert. This makes the application useless.2. The doorbell (intercom button) is silent. There is a USB ringer device shown in the kit list / instructions as optional. This provides an audible tone if the doorbell on the device is pressed. It is not provided with this bundle! In spite of searching the internet I could not find anywhere where it could be purchased. The Doorbell is therefore completely silent if the app isn't open (and your looking at it and the phone sound is turned up loud and the phone is nearby).What looks like a good piece of kit rendered useless. I don't understand why every other review is so positive unless this is the only thing they use their mobile 'phone for.

Great as a camera but useless as a bell.
The camera is very clear, the problems with this are sincing the product with a device, my son had to scrawl through countless videos on line as the written instruction are very vague/ complicated. Also I have not so far been able to hear anyone talking to me at the door, I sometimes get a broken undecipherable voice but nothing clear or understandable. From reviews I have read most of the types on offer have similar problems maybe as it is a newish product. The bell does not ring indoor twice this week someone has come while I was still asleep but my husband was in the kitchen, he didn't know anyone was there, I have tried to get the optional device to ring indoors but so far cannot find one. I have now had this product for months and I have never once been able to talk to anyone through the system.
