Kurt Adler 10-Light Multi-Color Capiz Star Tree Topper

I had an all red Christmas tree star just like this that I got from my mother and I’ve always loved it so much. Over the last few years it has started to weaken and fall apart and that made me sad since my mother has passed away, but this star had to be at least 50-60 years old! When I took it out of storage this past holiday I knew it was no longer useable. I took to the internet to see if I could find a replica. I was surprised to learn that it’s a Kurt Adler and stars were still being made and sold! While this is not the exact same, it’s actually beautiful and I’ve enjoyed it. It’s pretty bright and fit in perfectly with my eclectic variety of ornaments. (I let my teen decorate the tree by herself this year)

Note: I've rated this on what I would have thought about it had it not come broken, and if the lights had worked. I wanted a new tree topper, and really liked the design and the colors. Although I would prefer a battery-operated one, I was OK with having to plug it in. I ordered a "Used Like New" one from the Amazon Warehouse, from which I've had mostly great luck with used items. However, this was sent anchored to a box that had no cover, and was then mailed in an envelope. One of the pieces of the star was broken, which, seeing how it was packaged, was no surprise. Since it looks the same on both sides, I said, "Well, I'll just have the good side facing the room, and that'll be OK." Then, I plugged it in and nothing happened. I plugged it in to three different outlets, and it still didn't work. So, back it goes. Since this was my third order attempt for this, I decided to try something else. So, I ordered a pretty red star with batteries and a timer, and it's great. Be aware that the price on this fluctuates almost daily. On any give day, it's $27, then $39, then $45, and then back to $27. Just keep checking daily if you want to try for the cheapest price. I really wish this had worked because it's pretty, and was just the right size for my four-foot tree. I just hope you have better luck with getting one that isn't broken, and that works when it's plugged in.

I purchased this Christmas star for my tree. It is beautiful especially when lit up. Not to heavy easy to get on the tree. Perfect size star. I love it!

Very delicate, colorful and elegant. The base wasn't too strong for the star's weight, so it hardly stayed on place.

The first one that came was broken & it broke my heart. When I re-ordered, I got it quickly & I absolutely LOVE IT!! I highly recommend this star. It looks good on any size tree. Multi-lights really make it show up very nicely. It has a longer cord than most tree toppers have. Craftsmanship is meticulous.

I was excited to receive this tree topper, it is reminiscent of something from my childhood. After waiting for three weeks to receive and much after Christmas day, it arrived packed in a paper bag with no padding or protection. Needless to say, sending it that way meant it arrived damaged and I am unfortunately returning. The item itself is decent quality and pretty cute - definitely a topped I recall as a child of the '80's. I did plug it in as the plug is accessible from the back of the package and lit up it is absolutely delightful. I would order again if I could be guaranteed it would be packaged properly.

Nice product. Looks good on top of the tree. Not as large as I would have assumed. The quality of the item is adequate at best. Pricing was a bit exhorbinate. Not highly recommended.

Kurt Adler quality shines through with this light. Perfect size for my 7'1/2" tree.

Estrela linda! Eu não norteio qndo comprei que era 110v, então acendeu 2x e queimou, abri e troquei o sistema de lâmpadas, o quê não ficou ruim, pois a tomada original é padrão europeu e assim não precisei utilizar adaptador. Obs.: a caixa poderia ser na melhor empacotada, estava bem amassada, veio somente na caixa pronto da estrela.
