As others have mentioned, the card stock is pretty thin. That and no book is why it lost a star. Just be careful shuffling. After studying the beautiful detail in the cards and edging them, the cards and I really connected. Would not recommend for beginners because there's no book and may have trouble taking care of them because of the thinness, but imo experienced readers shouldn't have a problem reading and being gentle with these. If you have a heavy hand then I would suggest getting these from another site. Remember you get what you pay for.

Love this deck! Be warned that these are smaller cards, more akin to playing-card size than the large tarot cards you might be accustomed to. But that makes them perfect for your purse and pocket for readings on the go! Material-wise, they have a pleasant, sturdy feel and slide over each other well- basically feel like the cards from deckbuilding games. The artwork has a very charming, turn-of-the-century gothic feel with a Gorey or Tim Burton playfulness. More importantly, despite the creativity of the art, the symbolism of the cards is largely recognizable to anyone familiar with, or using a guide to, more conventional decks like RW. I disagree with a few of the artist's decisions (most especially The Lovers, which adds a third figure that IMHO significantly changes the dynamic of the card), but for the most part they are spot-on. If you like the look of the cards in the listing's pictures, they are 100% representative, so you will like the deck!

I just got this deck today and I love it! I'll be doing a reading with it tonight.First, I love spooky things. Halloween, vampires, ghosts, zombies, Ravenloft, a good horror movie, Stephen King novels, most Tim Burton movies, the Disneyland Haunted Mansion, Beetlejuice (especially the musical), and the like. And I love the Tarot. So this is a great match for me. My other favorite deck is Halloween themed.The art in this is gorgeous and reminiscent of Burton's animated movies as well as the Haunted Mansion. And the price is so low! If you like the Tarot and those other things, I encourage you to order this.Now, there are a couple of things to mention that don't take away from the five star rating for me, but that buyers should be aware of.The cards are closer in size to Bicycle playing cards than to a regular Tarot deck. That's actually a plus for me. As someone who knows a bit of card magic, I appreciate this because it makes them easier to shuffle.The cards in my deck weren't in order when I got them, and I like to go through a new Tarot deck in order before I shuffle it. Not a big deal. They were easy to sort.That's it! What I want to leave people with is that this deck is an instant favorite for me.

I bought these cards when they were not in the United States yet. Mine are the larger, normal size tarot cards. I paid $70.00 for mine back then. So, the price is really good on these cards, even though they are the smaller size. I have used the one's that I got from Europe, a lot. These cards are not designed for beginners. These are for tarot readers who spirit read, and not for tarot readers who have to learn from a book. I placed one star on the 'Easy to read area' just for that reason. But in reality, it really depends on the ability of the reader. With that being said, you decide.

while this is a cute tarot deck for the price the product is poor. what appears a slick enamel paint easily chips off a very thin card stock. i was sad to have to return it because i really liked the art.

Super cute images, but no booklet. Also the printing on the tuck box is pretty bad, like I can’t read the writing because it is so dark and undefined. The cards are small, like playing card size- but this makes them easy to shuffle, as they fit well in the hand, and the card quality seems good. Also the cards were out of order even though the box was sealed. Just seems a bit shady…. I hope it is just a bad run because the artist deserves credit- the images are creepy-cute and pretty well themed to the traditional meanings. Would definitely get 5 stars if I trusted the origin.

It’s definitely a knock off but the illustrations/art work is beautiful and the cards shuffle very well. I love the symbolism, as you can see in the picture the fool is a clown and the lovers shows a jealous woman side eyeing a couple and the 6 of wands is marriage ceremony. I love it!It is a smaller deck so if you like bigger cards you might not like this deck. I have small hands so I don’t mind at all. Good buy in my opinion!

While these cards are sturdy, made of good materials and affordable, I do think its a knock off deck. It doesn’t come with the guidebook, the imagery on the box is blurry and doesn’t look original. I do love the cards though. I had a reading done with this deck and loved the images so much that I had to buy this deck for myself. Unfortunately I don’t think I’m supporting the original artist with my purchase but it’s a decent replica.
