Company of Animals Pet Corrector 200ml

This aerosol can is fantastic! It emits a loud spray sound which doesn't harm the dog, provided it isn't held too close, but they really don't like the noise it makes at all. You choose just one behaviour at a time (barking/jumping up/mouthing etc) and use the spray immediately when the dog behaves in that way. I bought the 200 spray can but so far we have only used it a couple of times to stop mouthing and now we only have to show her the can for her to stop! Will be using it to stop her jumping up next. We had previously used the 'shaking the stones in a can' method, but she got used to it and wasn't too bothered by the noise. But used sparingly, this sound works amazingly. Just wish I'd only bought the cheaper 50 spray can!

I purchased this product after watching the programme “Dogs Behaving Badly” in an attempt to curb my dog’s barking as he will bark at every sound and at other dogs. The first time I used it, although I didn’t squirt it at him - he was approximately 5-6 ft away - I inadvertently squirted it in his general direction. The jet of air emitted gives quite a powerful hiss. He flew round the sofa and would not come anywhere near me for some time. He is still quite wary, even though I am not using it and doesn’t trust me at the moment and backs off when he sees the can, which I have had to hide. Quite difficult due to the size of the can. With hindsight, I should have bought a 50 ml can as it can be more easily hidden from view and easier to use. This size is not easy to compress. It may be that just the sight of the can will stop him from barking but I don’t want to frighten him, so will refrain for the time being and see what happens and if that was enough to curb him.

Was pretty expensive for what it was.

I bought the 200ml. I'm not exaggerating,I estimate probably 30 squirts,and it will be gone. I've now bought 6 cans of compressed air,for half the price. The one review said it scared her cats to death,so I hope it works for my dog,as I can't afford this again. It works,but I can't justify the cost,for a pretty red can,with dog instructions on it.

Just saw this product has been reduced in price, it was totally over-priced when I needed it the most, now down to £18.99 - just amazed at how much they can charge for this product when all it does is make a sound that distracts dogs by the release of pressurized gas. Finally learnt how to make this sound, just like learning how to whistle and it's free...

I have not used this on pets as I don't have any but it works a treat on neighbours 2 cats who use our garden fence as a general daily route to where it is they are making for. I had a grey squirrel nesting in my roof space last winter. When I saw him in the garden come spring I gave him a spurt of this and off he ran. Animals seem to loathe the sound. It is NOT a liquid like a hairpray is although the operation is the same. The noise is very loud. You do not spray the actual animal but spray into the air. I stand at the back door, aim and press the nozzle.

It is very difficult to use the spray if you have arthritis

Worked well for a while. Then the dog took no notice. Then worked again,so on and off.
