The Story of Marriage

I found this book to be very helpful. I especially like how John and Lisa were very open about the challenges they faced and how God helped them overcome them. I think because of this I have found this book to be the most practical marriage book I have ever read.

This workbook style book takes some time to work through, but it is so worth it. After 25 years of marriage, there is material in this book, we both wish we had been made aware of earlier on. As one review mentions, it does refer to the Message. However, it also uses several other Biblical versions. We need to on our own, dig into the Biblical references...no matter what version is used in any book written by man. We have for the most part also had a solid marriage, definitely committed and faithful. It's just a choice, a decision we made a long time ago...no matter what. This book was a tool we used to go deeper, to draw closer to each other and God. I think every marriage should have the advantage of using this book as a tool to improve upon any marriage.

Read part of it and gave to a client with domestic violence issues in her marriage. Both are doing serious work to salvage their marriage. She read it all the way on a trip to Calif. And her husband was so impressed, he is now reading and loving it.

The content is deep and we learned a lot as a couple. This book seems better suited for the struggling marriage and not so much for the newly wed couple.

Such a blessing reading this. Really and truly a blessing! Im getting married in a few weeks and I cant wait. This is a have to read for everyone thinking about or in a marriage.

This is a real and practical book on m!rriage even for those preparing for this ministry. I highly suggest it.

Great read; written from a very unique perspective - a must-read for anyone who wants to enjoy the glorious married life God designed us to live!!

I love the way the book is structured, you can read it as a book an also participate in the interactive section (the devotionals), alot of wisdom that this book brought already and I know by the end of it I will be blessed.Recommended for people in relationships and who want to understand more about relationships.Me and my girl were going through hard time, but I believe the best thing is to go to God and Also use the resources that are available to understand more and gain understanding and wisdom from people who know what they are talking about, like this book, I'm sure there is alot out there but this book is a great.

In my opinion, this is an excellent book with a very honest approach by the writers.I loved it so much I bought copies for friends and family.

Bearing in mind the cultural differences between USA and UK this is nevertheless a helpful read.
