Madeira Embroidery Fleece, 1x0.24m

I used it for a hand embroidery project on tulle. It did its job well during the embroidery, I liked that it did not wear my thread out, although I used a shorter length of thread as usually. I tested a small piece of the stabilizer before starting my embroidery by dropping it in a glass of warm water. It did not dissolve completely, so I was a little worried when I finished my embroidery. I submerged it in water, and the glue actually shrank! A scary moment as my embroidery scrunched up in a little ball! In a couple of moments when the excess glue dissolved I straightened out my embroidery and it was fine. However, I was left with tiny droplets of hardened glue stuck to my fabric. I got rid of most of them by carefully rinsing my fabric once again. Unfortunately, here and there a tiny dot of glue remained. Therefore I can not give the product 5 stars. It might work well with machine applique projects where you are able to remove almost all of the stabilizer before rinsing your fabric, but it appears not to be the right choice for a more intricate hand embroidery.

This has changed my life. It is so much simpler than just wash away stabaliser. Very useful for stabalising buttonholes on stretch of fine fabric.
