D'Addario Royal Organic Alto Saxophone Reeds, Strength 2.5, 3-Pack

I am playing an Alto Sax for about 1 month and needed more reeds. Since the ones that came with the sax were 2 strength, i figured i could pull a stronger strength and hear how it sounds. Completely worth it! Not too bassy on the low notes and not too "goose" on the high notes! Could be a little cheaper (10 euros por 3 reeds is kinda expensive), but otherwise top reeds!

My reeds arrived earlier today. I took one out, soaked it in water for a minute or 2 and put it in my saxophone, and within a minute the reed was broken into and working a real treat, making a big difference to my tone. I really like these reeds, lovely bright tone.

Rico Royal Reeds were recommended by my music teacher as was the 2.5 strength. I am a complete adult beginner saxophone student so was totally unaware of what was best. Package arrived promptly. Reeds in excellent condition and do the job required.

For this purchase, I was just looking to revisit this reed since I've been switching between Vandoren green and red box for the last 10yrs. These reeds worked really well on the Select Jazz alto mouth piece. Very nice and warm sound. I was able to work my way up and down the registers evenly in timbre and projection. After all ths time, I still find my way back to Rico (D'addario) Royals. What's great is they now come in these smaller packs, albeit slightly more expensive per reed this way. It's more convenient to either try out this cut or try out different sizes to see if you need to move up/down.
