Yes +0.25 is useful
These are nice optically coated glasses and +0.25 is enough to improve my focus to an acceptable level so they will reduce eye strain without making your eyes lazy. Also they do improve contrast and reduce glare. I have been looking at less than +1.00 glasses and these are some of the better ones.

Hard-to-find low-strength specs.
Use these for viewing TV, with another at +1.0 for computer work. These specs are well made and light to wear.
