I was replacing an old, gravity versus spring set of household scales (accurate to 1/10th gram, if being very, very judicious) and came across this little item. The electronic scales have proven to be the perfect replacement, incredibly easy to use and accurate to 1/100th gram. The reason for the change being that I've been diagnosed as pre-diabetic, type 2 diabetes (a veritable mouthful, contrary to my medically imposed diet) and have to keep within the average consumption limit of 90g sugar per day - those 1/100ths of a gram take on a new importance!). Whilst I won't go off at a tangent (Daily limit? Madness, Daily consumption rate, maybe), I find these scales to be small enough not to be a nuisance item on the work surface yet strong enough not to feel flimsy. I have no idea what the upper weight limit is (nothing in my diet is likely to reach it) but appreciate the 1/100 gram graduations (the difference between a coffee with a teaspoon of sugar and a mug with an extra 1/50g becomes noticeable). The scales are in a brushed aluminium finish, looking suitably new millennia, come with batteries (heavy plastic film container needs removing) and a cursory glance at the instructions had it working within minutes. A good buy at a good price and a no hassle delivery hence the 5* review.

Does what it says at a cheap price

I bought these to measure coffee grind for espresso. I was concerned as they look a tad cheap on the photo's and to be honest when arrived the quality is cheap (what do you expect for sub £10 posted!) - But they do look great! Nice and compact, brushed steel platform and seem robust enough, although mine seems to wobble on the base like the whole thing is twisted slightly.Accuracy appears to be good and does measure within 0.1g - But they do float within +/- 0.1g from time to time.Can't complain for the price at all and I recommend.

I bought htese ona recommendation, as my old set of jewellers scales had seen better days and htye had always bugged me because the weighing area was a bit tiny.Although these scales have a much bigger weighing area, overall they are not much bigger than my jewllers scales so they take up very little room, and are flat when tidied away(so you could slide them in like a book somewhere, but because of the covers, theoretically you could store them under something - but personally I would not do that because you would have to lift whatever it was off every time you needed them)They come with batteries included, ace.They come with 2 covers - and that is where I was being a bit daft and thought they were not measuing , but I had missed the second cover that protects the measuring area when not in use, but also serves as a very handy second weighing basket.The second cover, covers the whole scale including the first cover, can also be used as a weighing basket and both covers are clear acrylic.I went for the silver, and it blends in nicely with my metal prep area, and I am very pleased with them.The time to fix the weight is a tiny bit slower than the jewllers scales, but as I am not speed measuring anything, it is not at all noticeable and does not affect the use in my home ( chocolate,coffee, suppliments, teas, chocolate, baking ingredients, did I mention chocolate?)The scales can take a load of up to 3kg, but you would need to ensure that the 3Kg could be added within a recepticle that had a base no bigger than the weighing area which I think is about 10cm on each side of the square - so most medium sized mixing bowls would suit - trying to put a cat on it would not work ( for oh so many reasons)They are easy to wipe clean and the battery compartment, which is on the underside is really easy to get to, open, and replace, unlike some scales.hope this helps any prospective buyers.

Wanted a compact accurate and easy to use set of scales to weigh out the puppy food (small puppy!) and this is perfect. Easy to use and the two trays are helpful and useful too.

I bought this one for my friend as I bought one for myself 3 years ago and is still working perfectly! This scale is really great and precise!

Scales give me a balance in life.

The media could not be loaded.  I used an item weighing 70g to test this scale. As you can see in the video, the weight that showed up was incorrect and inconsistent (varied between 6-7g in the video but 4-8g off-camera). The scale does not return to 0 between each use (also shown in video). The weight also changes if you leave the item on the scale and do not touch it. Overall, totally useless.

Facile da utilizzare, leggero e di minimo ingombro. Nessun problema. Ha in dotazione 2 piccoli contenitori di plastica trasparente, uno appena più capiente dell'altro.

The media could not be loaded.  Die Waage ist einfach so super, dass ich sie nicht nur für mich selbst gekauft habe, sondern auch an Familie und Freunde verschenkt habe.Vorteile:+ sie ist klein und nimmt kaum Platz weg+ sie reagiert super schnell, wenn man z.B Mehl in die Schüssel schüttet (nicht wie bei anderen Küchenwaage, die immer verzögert reagieren und man dann meistens noch mal etwas wieder herausnehmen muss)+ sie ist sehr präzise (z.B. 5 g Backpulver abwiegen ist überhaupt kein Problem, bei meiner alten Waage hat sich bei solchen leichten Mengen die Anzeige kaum verändert, obwohl man gefühlt schon die dreifache Menge hinzugegeben hatte. Ich habe auch das Eichgewicht des anderen Modells (300g/0.01g) auf die Waage gestellt und es sind exakt 100 g)+ sie bleibt an, solange sich das Gewicht ändert und noch einige Minuten danach (meine alten Waage schaltete sich automatisch nach einer Zeit "x" aus, auch selbst dann, wenn man gerade eine Zutat hineinschüttete, was total blöd ist, wenn man bereits mehrere Zutaten in der Schüssel drin hat und man nun nicht weiß, welche Menge ich jetzt schon hinzugefügt habe und welche noch fehlt)+ es sind Batterien dabei, die auch sehr lange halten+ kann auch mit wiederaufladbaren Akkus betrieben werden (ich hatte mal eine Waage bestellt, die optisch identisch aussah, allerdings von einem anderen Hersteller und dort haben die Akkus nur frisch aufgeladen für wenige Tage funktioniert)+ langlebig, hat bereits die Garantie überlebtNeutral:~Es steht zwar als Marke "Amir" bei Amazon, aber auf der Waage selbst steht aber "Brifit", so wie auch in den Produktbildern~ sie ist wirklich sehr klein, kleiner als man denken würde, deswegen am besten einmal die Maße am Lineal anschauen~ allein die Wiegefläche ist aus Edelstahl, der Rest besteht aus lackiertem Plastik, finde ich auch überhaupt nicht schlimm, allerdings sah es für mich auf den Fotos so aus, als wäre es komplett aus Metall~ zeigt eine Kommastelle an, allerdings muss man dabei wissen, dass das Mindestgewicht, das die Waage anzeigen kann, 0,5 g beträgt und von da aus geht es dann in 0,1 g-Schritten weiter (steht auch so auf der Verpackungsrückseite)~ die Hintergrundbeleuchtung wird mit der Zeit schwächer, aber trotzdem noch alles ablesbarNachteile:- ist wirklich so klein, dass man einen normal großen Teller oder eine große Schüssel nicht drauf stellen kann, weil das Display dann nicht mehr zu sehen ist
