Great clock for bedside
I had been looking for a clock that I could read at my nightstand with red LEDs so it would not disrupt sleep. My 20 year old alarm clock was still going, but the alarm function only played static, and since I wanted to wake to radio instead of my phone, the old clock had to go. I was also looking to add gradual/humane alarm and weekday/weekend alarms. This clock is close to perfect out of the box. It has what appears to be an analog rheostat to control brightness- so you can gradually change it from completely dim to totally bright. It would be nice to have a clock that was brighter in daytime and dimmer at night, but I was still able to find a "sweet spot" of brightness with this dial that was acceptable to read it at night and daytime so I wouldn't need to change the setting once it was set.The radio is actually very sensitive and tunes digitally allowing precise tuning into FM stations. The speaker is small and mono (only 1 despite two grilles), but sounds very detailed for its size and very good for an alarm clock. There is no AM tuner. While in radio mode, you can "scan" to allow it to use the dial to move between detected stations, or leave it alone and manually tune in 100 kHz steps using the dial, which I prefer. It has a built-in wire antenna which pulls in stations very well; during a weather front I even picked up a station 250 miles away (not normally possible on FM - may say more about the weather that day than the antenna). You can also set 1 preset which is for the radio alarm. The alarm settings are straightforward, and the alarms can be set to daily, weekdays, weekends, or off. You can set two separate alarms. I find the beep sound rather annoying but that's ok because I was planning to use wake to radio either way.My favorite feature of this clock is that the preset radio station will come on (regardless of what station was played at any other time), gradually increase from quiet, and only get to your manually set volume via the volume control on the back. In other words- you can preset the radio alarm's maximum volume! The USB charger works exactly as you'd expect. I currently have a sound machine plugged into it.Some quirks:The manual says that when the alarm goes off, pressing the rotary dial will snooze the alarm for 9 minutes and any other button will stop the alarm. This is true for the beep alarm, but for radio ONLY the radio button will stop it (the others do nothing). That said, if you snooze the radio alarm, then while it's snoozing any other button will stop it.The sleep function seems to work perfectly as intended, but the button for it is on the back of the unit. This is not an issue for me as I've found I need to use a separate sound machine for sleep, but if you like to fall asleep to radio this could be annoying. One feature I wish this had is 1 separate memory for the radio: when you listen to the radio and turn it off, when you turn it on again it will remember which station you had tuned prior. But, after the radio alarm goes off, it forgets the last station you had on before this, and if you go to turn the radio on again it will tune to the alarm preset station, requiring you to re-tune if you listen to something else in the evenings for example. It would be nice if the last station you manually listened to wasn't cleared when the alarm goes off.The only other thing that could improve it is if the red LED clock version had the option of the woodgrain case, because a e s t h e t i c.Overall I'd give it 4 stars on execution because it is so close to perfect, but would nudge it closer to 5 stars given how much better a job this clock does to cover all the bases compared to other models, in addition to having a red LED display which seems more and more difficult to find new these days.

One of the best alarm clock radios I've owned
This digital clock radio with dual alarms is great and one of the best I’ve found. The Pros:- The instruction manual is easy to read and understand (novel concept)- Good tips and hints for making the radio more “user friendly”- Dimmer for the display- Numbers are nice and large- FM radio comes with a wire antenna (comes in clearly on my radio)- Dual alarms that can be programmed for everyday, week days only, or only Saturdays and Sundays (nice idea)- 12 hour or 24 hour option of your choice- USB charging port- Slim and more compact than other radios, and it doesn’t take up a lot of room on the night stand- Battery backup- A note comes with the radio to contact the company should you have a need or have questions (that’s good customer service)The Cons:Can’t think of any.So far the radio is working fine and well worth the money.I highly recommend making this purchase.

Great features for the price
This clock radio has everything I need. Red numbers (since I feel every other color is distracting at night). I am sensitive to light when sleeping, and I am able to dim it down all the way to black or just barely visible, etc. Not many clocks have a full 0%-100% linear dimmer feature and this was a very important feature to me. The radio portion sounds better than my old 1980s clock radio. But it's still a tiny speaker. Don't expect high fidelity from this. I does play plenty loud to hear a few rooms away. The digital radio tuner is very easy to use by turning the knob on top. The radio has a separate wire antenna. I've been able to pick up distant stations by moving the wire around, balling it up, coiling it up, etc. If you have trouble, try different things with the antenna wire. Once it locks on a channel, it remains stable. Much better than my old clock radio that drifts. The alarm feature isn't that important to me as I use my phone for that purpose. So I can't speak much about that. The dual alarm is better than my old 1980s clock that only has a single alarm. For those who complain about it not having an automatic daylight savings time feature, it's super easy to press the clock button, and rotate the tuning knob which changes the hour up or down one hour. No big deal.I've been using it for a few weeks and no problems at all. Keeps perfect time. The external power supply seems cheap so if it dies, it's common to replace (5V, 1A). Battery backup allows it to keep time during power outages and also seems to keep memory of the current radio channel.Hope this review helps someone.

Alarm clock with radio
Good clock, size is perfect, great price. Love the dimmer ability. Radio has a great sound guality. The only thing I don't like is the alarm switches are cheap, hard to move and pop off when you touch them. Would recommend.

Love the customization options
Love this clock. Can adjust brightness of display. Can set a week day only alarm. Love the old school radio option. Perfect for someone who doesn’t want to use a cell phone but wants to customize waking up options. Left behind during vacation so we’re ordering a second one.
