Can you shorten the length of the ‘rubber bands’?

No, they are attached to the clips at both ends. However, when I need a shorter length I just wrap the band round my hand rather than using the hand grip and it works fine.

Does this set come with instructions as to all of the ways that it can be used?

It does, gives instructions on about 20-30 exercises.

One of my bands has snapped not even a month later but my return window has closed what can I do?

Hi, unfortunately Chinese made stuff is crap, a handle broke on me. Send hybrid an e-mail, they will offer you a derisory amount. But the good news is you can buy a new set for 8 pounds.
