Tuned my own piano for the first time
Between these mutes, a well-made piano tuning lever and the Easy Piano Tuner smartphone app I have successfully tuned my upright piano myself for the first time. A lot cheaper than a piano tuner! Mind you, with over 200 strings it took quite a number of evenings. The mutes generally did the job although I did find them very tricky to use on the highest notes of the piano where due to the reduced space caused by the shorter strings the hammer kept hitting the mute instead of the string. However, I persevered and managed to complete the job without losing a single mute down inside the piano!
