Best SSD in this price range.
This is the best SSD considering the price got it for 3300/- 512gb and it's perfect for the price. Read and write speed are as advertised mine was 548MB/s read and 507MB/s write(testedwith sdd capacity at 40%). The included type c to c cable gives you instant connection across modern smartphones too. Outer shell is made of aluminium which feels great build quality is also very good I say it's the best out there in terms of build quality.You can easily go for it 🙂.

SSD failing after a few days
Used this to setup NAS, the data was backed up fine. Unfortunately soon as I freed up the drive I backed up the data from - this drive stated failing. It doesn't stay connected for more than 5 minutes and as a result I am unable to retrieve data that was backed up to this drive.Bought this in Oct'23, still trying to retrieve my data in Mar'24.

Using it for my ps5
Using it for my ps5 console.You can install and directly play ps4 games in ps5.But you can only copy or move ps5 games in ssd but can't play games directly on it.You need internal ssd to play game directly.

Good purchase. You won’t regret buying.
Initially I was not sure about the brand SP Silicon Power but after watching the reviews of this SSD on youtube, I decided to purchase it. It has a well built and sturdy metallic case which makes it robust and durable. Data transfer speed is average and serves the purpose.Size is a bit less than the standard passport. Also compatible with my Android Asus ROG phone.Overall nice product from the American brand SP ( Taiwan made)

doesn't work
When I first tried to use this, my computer didn't recognize the drive at all. Not good. Other drives work just fine in that C port, so I was sure the device were faulty. But support and diagnostics with HP (my computer) recommended a CMOS reset, and now the drive works just fine, So the problem was with my computer, not this flash drive. Glad to avoid the hassle of return and refund.UPDATE: yes, now my computer "recognizes the drive" but when I try to use it I get the message "fatal hardware error." I guess this just doesn't cut enough mustard after all !

Runs hot.
As I said in the SSD runs hot but its because of the use case. I use it as a Time Machine drive for my 1TB Mac. Apple recommends 3-4x the boot volume for a Time Machine drive.Hourly backups mean high duty cycles so the jury is still out on durability.Can't run Black Magic on it because a Time Machine drive is read only outside of the Time Machine app.

Speed up your Pi 4

Easy activation, excellent technology and great quality!
I ordered the Silicon Power 2TB SSD to use for cloning the two iMac's and 2 MBP's in our home (using Carbon Cop[y Cloner). The process went so smoothly that I just ordered a second SP 2TB unit to upgrade our Time Machine back-ups to from an old Seagate HDD unit which is starting to die. Terrific product by Silicon Power and great service by Amazon...even shipping overseas!!The fact that Silicon Power backs up their product with a 3-year warranty ithe icing on the cake!
