Not just for kids....
This game is going to be hard for younger children. Someone said 5-10 but I don't think that is quite true. This game works by telling you which pictures to take at the top left. You have to take this pictures or else you don't complete the mission. A kid might get lucky by randomly taking pictures of everything, but I doubt it. You also can't actually get close to the animals or your mission will end as you upset the natural environment too much. If your child is old enough to read and read well, then they can play this game on their own. If not you will be playing it with them. The mini games can be a little difficult but younger children that can't read yet should be able to do those no problem. One thing about the mini games though, you have to unlock them through the regular missions of this game. So be ready to hand this off to your older child or sit down with your young one.My son loves watching me do the photography. He helps me point out what is going on. I will tell him "Alright dude, time to find three frogs." And he is all about helping me look. He can't do it on his own yet but we still have a great time and as a gamer I enjoyed it. The gameplay is similar to a first person shooter but you have a camera. When you drive the car and take pictures it can get a little tricky but it's fun. I probably wouldn't have played this game if it wasn't for having a child, but I would have missed out. It's nice and relaxing, fun and informative. It's one of those downtime games when you don't want to stress over some big boss. Just kill some time or something. So yeah...I rate it five stars. For kids and adults this game is pretty rad.

4 stars for frustration factor...
I agree with some of the other reviewers about a couple of things with this game:1) I get frustrated when I am wandering around the African jungle looking for a tiger in a tree and I can't find it. Or I can't figure out how to get to where the giraffe and elephants are sleeping. There needs to be a "help" screen you can go to when you get stuck.2) When I first started playing, I really began to feel the effects of motion sickness! You have to control the camera (Wii remote) movements so you aren't racing around in circles and feeling nauseous. This game can be a lot of fun. I appreciate the challenge when I finally figure out how to get down those cliffs, waterfalls and hills to the other side.I don't think this game is for "Everyone", because I could see younger children giving up during those long stretches where you can't find the vulture sitting and you aren't given anything else to look for, and the guides aren't talking. There is only so long you can listen to chirping crickets without giving up in frustration.I don't like that when you find something out of order, you don't get credit for it if you take a picture of it.Other than those little complaints, I really do like the game. When I'm accidentally bumping into white rhinos, lions, a porcupine, or elephants, or having them charge me my heart races like I really need to get away fast, LOL). It's fun finding things and seeing the animals performing like they would in their natural habitat. The "marking their territory" comes to mind. How authentic.I gave the game 4 stars only for the frustration factor that would make it hard for younger children to really enjoy it.

Great game!
Not only does my 8 year old son LOVE to play this game but he learns from it as well.... and so do I. He also loves to play the two player mode with me. My only complaint about the game is that every time we've tried to play the helicopter ride our wii says it can not read the disc, but I think that's because we bought the game used. Be careful about buying used games! Otherwise enjoy!

wild earth african safari
This is a little frustrating to get to the games and then it is not challenging at all. I felt it needed some more in the way of help in finding the items or animals direction. Did not enjoy after the few times I played

Ok for the money
My 8 year old son worked extra jobs around the house to buy this game. He loves it when he plays it, but it is not the best game out there. The graphics are a little choppy, and even though it says you can play with multiple people, it is not very fun or easy to do so.If you get motion sickness--beware. The uneven movements can trigger a nasty reaction. All in all the cheaper price makes up for the graphics. When he plays, my son enjoys it, but he doesn't play as often as his other games.

Too slow and too long!
I thought this would be fun with great scenery...I was wrong on both counts...it was just too confusing and complicated and practically uneventful...just alot of roaming looking for dead fish. Save up for a better game.

My 5 year old loves it...
My son is a fan of Wild Kratts and this game fits in perfectly. The controls are too advanced for him to do it alone, but we enjoy discovering the African Savanna with him. Once you finish the main missions then it can become repetitive, and the "games" are not too much fun, but he enjoyed it. Gave us something to do during the pandemic.

It was fun, but then frustrating
I got this game because I am a fan of Endless Ocean, I hoped it would be like that. When I put the game on and started playing it was really fun. There's action and suspense but it's also good for smaller children. But when I finished the first level, a box came up saying I failed the mission and I clicked OK thinking it would save my photos and let me do the level over again. It didn't! Basically if you don't get all the pictures taken, you have to start all over again. So I thought I would do it later and play some of the mini games, it wouldn't let me! So again, I have to complete a level to get a mini game. So at this rate, it'll take me a wile to finish one level and get a mini game. Overall, I give this game 4 stars.
