this thing is great!
i dont t;ypically take or have the time to write reviews but just have to with this one. Great product, well worth the money. We used it to put towels, blankets, pillows and even a twin rolled up futon mattress in for a weekend "glamping" with family. I was so nervous on the highway on our drive up that it was going to fly off the car, and thankful that we only had light things in the trunk in case it did, that we stopped half way to check... everything was still firmly attached and it hadn't moved one bit even when we got to our destination (3 hour drive - all highway). This thing fits a ton of stuff, and realy is waterproof, as was tested on our ride home which was mostly rain the entire drive. Highly recommend! My brother has one of those hard plastic Thule expensive things and it doesn't hold nearly as much stuff, and oh by the way, it has opened on them in the past splaying their skiing equipment all over the highway!! If you are concerned about space - you wont have to be anymore!!

I absolutely love this item. We drove 6 hours from Va to Tennessee and this bag held AMAZINGLY!!! We had so much space for our cooler and for the kids to be comfy inside of the truck.(Ford escape)it rained about 4 hours we were driving and a very tiny bit of water got inside (it came in from the zipper) but I had read other reviews about that and put our duffel bags inside of trash bags them inside. We fit 5 duffel bags, 2 folding chairs, a queen air mattress and a bag with sneakers in this. If you're thinking about getting this product them definitely get it. I also purchased a skid proof mat to go on the roof to keep from sliding. It's the same thing you put in kitchen cabinets only way bigger. That helped also considering we were going between 80-90 mph coming back from TennesseeWeatherproof, water resistant, great mileage

Not bad at all…
This is a pretty good luggage topper. I failed to use common sense the first time I used it, and fastened it on the zipper closing at the front. Do NOT do that. I went through horrible, torrential, rainstorms… worst ever I had experienced, during my 24 hour drive from Colorado to Ohio. And it definitely got very wet inside in the front end. Next time I bagged the contents in big trash bags just in case, and put the zipper closure in the back! This was only a 2.5 hour drive, but it rained and nothing in it got wet.The Velcro does ok, but the side facing the front isn’t going to protect the zipper perfectly just do to the constant wind hitting it.I purchased a protector to put under it, and I put towels blankets inside it on the bottom just to further protect the top of my car.I had it WAY packed up on the first long trip, to its weight max for sure and it did great. It has held up well through the couple trips it’s had. It was easy to strap on all in all, but I do wish it were easier to “cinch” it down through and pull it tight, that party is more complicated than it needs to be.Glad I bought this, for the price I think it can’t be beat. I took off a star just because it’s not perfect, but if you tolerate the way it cinches down and be smart about the way you pack it and the direction you face the opening, it will be just fine! I definitely recommend it :)

Well worth the money
Bought this for a family summer trip. I accidentally bought this model thinking it was for suv’s WITHOUT a luggage rack. Was still able to make it work- but make sure you get the right one since they make one for suv’s that don’t have a luggage rack. Worked great and held up through rain and highway speeds. Traveled 17 hours round trip and I was amazed how much gear I got into it. I got a large, medium and small suitcase into it, alongside all our beach towels and beach toys. Still had some room to spare for other loose items. I would suggest to get the NON-SLIP mat to place under the bag. Helps to keep the bag from shifting and protects the top of your car. Love the fact it stores into a small bag which hardly takes up any room on my shelf.

WOW !!!!!
This rooftop cargo bag is everything they say it is, it saved me a lot of money, hitch an tow ? ? or rooftop cargo bag?? Rooftop cargo bag won hands down. Auperto Roof Bag didn't leak, rip or make a lot of noise. The price was right, I know it will get a lot of use. It fit on the roof rack carrier an made the trip a pleasure, leaving more room for the dog- bed an dog. With all seats down an everything on the top of the car instead of being crunched with everything, We were on our way with everything we needed to take on our trip. Don't forget to always check the straps at your gas fill ups, ours stayed tight ,but better safe then sorry. We love it !!!!!!!!!!!cost The room in is unreal . I did make sure when we gassed up to recheck the straps, the one thing is I forgot to take along a latter, because I'am short, but problem solved I stood on the top of the front an back seats an loaded it

Works like it should
I read a lot of reviews for this and similar products before buying one - it works fine. We went from Cincinnati to Wisconsin Dells (8 hours each way). It rained on the way up, everything from sprinkles to a downpour, and never had a problem. I was really nervous about this based on some other reviews, but it was completely waterproof.Based on other reviews, we were really careful about where we put pressure when tightening down the straps. The straps are so long that it does take some working out to get them where they need to be, but once you figure that part out you're fine. No problems with the straps or buckles. A couple of times we had to stop and tie the ends back because the flapping will drive you insane at high speeds, but there was no actual danger of them slipping loose or anything. Easy to load if you can reach your roof okay, we had to use stepladders (Toyota Highlander). It fit luggage and food and pillows and blankets for 6 people. I would recommend this.
