Will reorder
I don't normally use rockwool for clones or seed startng. I did this time, and was surprised with close to 100% success. Rockwood is Rockwool, but this is good and I'll buy again

Works For Me
They work but I've never used Rockwool before, Is this stuff supposed to be like fiber glass ? Either way I used them with success soaked in 500 ppm hydro nutrients water. Pops seeds and roots clones then can go into whatever medium you're using after that.

Don’t fit in segmented Grodan tray
Was exited to find a less expensive product than Grodan. But the size is different than Grodan and won’t fit in the segmented trays. Other than that, quality seems okay.

Garbage - Literally
Acquired to try this product. Tried some clippings (i also acquired Clonex as suggested) - tried 12 - ZERO rooted. All Died. Tried a 2nd time with more clippings and tried seeds - 1 seed popped - then quickly died. all clipping died and seeds also didn't germinate. Ensure to fully read instructions and checked a few of the success reviews - nothing worked. So the title of the review is accurate. These things literally were garbage. I gave this company money to be shipped garbage since that's where the product went. Even with an exorbitant amount of reading and research; Caveat Emptor. Couldn't even salvage the scraps to send back for a refund as the 2nd batch completely got molded over. Would not recommend at all. Suggested you just use potting soil where 90% of the time both snippings and seeds germinate for me personally. One of the biggest wastes of money i've ever spent on a product.

great for water retention
I used these to clone my plants and they do a wonderful job of keeping your clones well hydrated. I suggest using this over other products. It has been really effective and a great away to make it an easy experience when it comes to cloning plants. I dont have to stay on top of the watering multiple times a day.

Not sure if these are meant for plants or attic insulation...
So I bought the large (~$26/200+ cubes) pack to ensure i never needed rockwool for a long time. I only need about 12 per hydroponic tower and that means I would only use two to three dozen a year. Anyway, these arrived and appeared as expected. I started 12 plants and at this point three weeks later, three didn't germinate. Not sure why. Now I'm also having root rot issues. I'll go into my hypothesis. 1. The cubes were very dense. Like more dense than I expected. And oddly flaky and crumbly. 2. For some reason they had a sickly yellow color, not a beige or tan like expected or in the photos. 3. They just would not drain. I would let them sit for days without adding any water and they were still pretty wet. I'm guessing that they were too tightly compressed and for some reason still able to crumble apart when trying to break apart cubes or poke holes for seeds. The water retention was nuts... I eventually stopped my pump and let them sit, for days, and they were still wet. I did get about nine plants germinated from them, but they stalled out fast, never getting more than about two inches tall before they switched over to roots rotting and I couldn't keep the moisture levels right. I initially was having the pump run and circulate water hourly for 15 minutes. That was keeping them flooded. So i backed off to 5 minutes... still flooded. Ok every other hour for five minutes with 12 hours off overnight. Still REALLY REALLY wet all the time. They just weren't draining well enough. I'm guessing there was just never any oxygen on my poor sprout's roots and they eventually all gave up. I'm going to switch brands and styles of cubes but I'm fairly convinced these are about as cheap as they come and buyer beware, you may have an uphill battle to make them work well for you. I might chop these up and use as pelleted filler in my net cups. Smaller pieces will likely drain a bit better at least. I have plenty to experiment with, but that's all I'm going to do, use what I have left for tinkering.

Best bang for your buck
This is actually a good price. The packaging just came in plastic wrap no box but that is fine. It’s the package with the most block at best price ratio. Which is fantastic! We go through soooo many of these all the time so I am always trying to find the best deal. I do find it to be a bit stiff and not very airy like some other brands. Depending on what you’re growing this could be good or bad because it is tight in the roots. But I guess it takes longer to dry out ? The fiver glass doesn’t shred as much. This is helpful because I don’t get as much itchy skin when using it. I would buy it again and actually am going to right after writing this review

Good value
They work well. Not much to say it's cubes of mineral fiber with a hole in it.
