Looking for a reliable, tough labeler for work.
I was looking for a labeler that is rugged, makes great labels, and came with a rechargeable battery.I opted for this labeler. Just to be clear. . . Yes, it’s pricy. Yes, the cartridges are pricy. BUT, in return, you get a working product that is super easy to create labels. It comes with a great hard-shelled case that houses the labeler, 3 cartridges, the A/C charging brick/cable, and the belt/magnetic clips. I personally use the belt clip.Application: The application, while at first had a small learning curve, is very easy to navigate, and generate labels.I love the functionality of saving labels. I use this labeler every week. My phone connects to the labeler quickly once I power it on.Labeler: The labeler is well made. It has rubber bumpers to protect it from drops. I love that it cuts the label for you. There is an option to trim the label down to avoid waste. I use the belt clip which works great. If you are looking for a reliable labeler for work use, this is the one! You won’t regret it.

Great label maker
I work for a telecommunication company maintaining and upgrading cell sites. I had used another brand beginning with a P to label the many fiber connections between the servers and routers, as well as the equipment. Getting the labels to print in a usable format with that unit was a chore, and many times on return visits I’d find the labels fell off and would need to be remade. I was told to get a Brady label maker. Thank God I listened to that advice! The printer is blue tooth connected to an app on your cell phone. This app has many format options for the type of cartridge inserted, it’s smart and knows what you loaded. You can create and preview your label, change format or style and easily print. You can save each type you make and later just recall the file and change the info to what you need with going through a full setup again. The labels are vinyl, with good adhesive and the printing is sharp, even very small fonts are crisp and readable. The only complaint I have is that there is a lot of curl to the label, but bending it the other way fixes that issue. The backing is easy to peel off, another plus over my old labelThe kit comes with a mag mount and a belt clip to hold the printer, or just place it on a firm surface. There is an internal battery as well as a backup battery so no worries about running out of power. I’ve been using for a few months now and I couldn’t be more pleased. Comparable printers from other manufacturers are 75 to 100% higher in cost, so although pricey it is still a bargain. The labels securely attach and the ones I placed on equipment and fibers some time ago are secure with not even the slightest sign the adhesive is failing, unlike the other label maker. This is a heavy duty unit with high quality and easy to use, if you want a professional look for your labeling needs, look no further.

Very handy
This labeler is very handy! I can set it off to the side and with my phone I can go to areas I need to make labels. Or I can attach it to my side or my cart.

Best Among The Choices
This does a great job. I use it at work (IT director at University) and at home. The different material cassettes are handy. I am reluctant to say it is a value buy but the alternatives are weak in relation to it. I recommend this one if you do a lot of different labels. The app is plan but connects well and reliably.

Wastes more than 50% of the expensive label material
This wastes more than 50% of the label material - which is pretty significant when some label cartridges are *significant* money. Approximately 3/8" of unused label is added to both sides of the printed area - quite significant for a small label where the printed area may only be 1/2" long. The label waste is due to the mechanical interaction between the cartridge feed, print head and cutter and is a *common* problem on most label printers.Where the Brady fails and cheap-o Brother printers excel is when printing multiple labels in continuous mode without using the built-in cutter. The Brady prints the labels exactly the same whether they are cut or not. A Brother label printer has an option to *reduce* the blank space between printed labels when printing in continuous mode! This could be a simple software update from Brady to reduce the waste in continuous printing mode - but it's likely it won't be added: more wasted label means that users have to buy more cartridges to print the labels they need. It wouldn't surprise me if Brady has added an extra fraction of an inch to the wasted space just to sell more expensive cartridges. The phone app is fiddly and slow. I can't find a way to turn off snapping when I don't want object handles to snap to other objects. It's difficult to zoom and select the correct object when two are adjacent in the label layout. It's difficult to manipulate objects with any degree of precision. Often attempts to move a handle of an object (to scale the object) will end up moving the entire object. The zoom and viewing position of the label seems to reset after many object operations. I am unable to find documentation for the Express Labels app (someone must assume that it's so easy to use it doesn't need documentation ... but how do you set up auto-incrementing serial numbers?).Just buy a different product.

So convenient!!
Finally had a chance to use this in a datacenter. It was great to stick it on the side of the computer rack (out of the way) and print labels for the cables I was stringing up.

Decent printer paired with cheap junk
Printer itself is pretty good although you can tell it’s not built as well as the 210s, that said the rest of the kit is mostly junk and the return options aren’t good at all. Battery backup came bricked and completely useless, case foam was torn upon opening and the Bluetooth can be iffy.
