Absolute corker of a game!
Bought this game at Christmas. Absolutely winner in my house (two adults 2 young teens)This game is hilarious!! Have also played it with some friends from work at a get together. It's even funnier when played with grown ups who have had a glass of wine or two! Fully recommend this game to everyone.

Really good fun game, only criticism is that the red and orange colours are not distinct enough - def would recommend the company re - print them! Otherwise really good fun, easy, quick game and still recommend.

Quick and easy to play
Easy rules and set up. Good fun game for kids and adults. Lots of laughing and noise. I think we got this at a deal price which was a fair price as this is a card game. Would recommend especially if need something small to pack for a trip.

Great family game! We bought it for a family trip to Jamaica and it was perfect for the downtime in the evenings and while waiting at the airport. Very easy to play. Small and light to pack.

I ordered the “Monster Hunt” edition of this game, and we had never tried this or any other version of this game before. It’s just my husband and me most of the time, so I was happy to find a game that could be played with just 2 people, though this can also be played with up to 6 people. As a game collector, physical presentation is very important to me, and I’m rather satisfied with this game in that regard. I was hesitant to order this after reading a review mentioning that the shipping label had been applied to the game box itself, but my box arrived looking perfect, fortunately. It’s a fairly small but durable box that’s big enough to fits 2 decks of cards, side-by-side, and it has a lift-off top that functions smoothly. The instructions are a single page folded in half twice, and the folding is not perfectly precise. I’d rather have had a small booklet to flip thru, even if it were the same short length. Still, the instructions are laid out nicely, so they’re mostly (I’ll come back to that) easy to follow and easy to read and understand quickly. The playing cards are printed nicely with vivid colors and cute illustrations, and they’re also easy to read. They’re slick cardstock, certainly, and they shuffle easily, but I wish they were a tad bit thicker to make them more durable to complement the intentionally manic gameplay. There also really aren’t that many cards included, considering that the box looks meant to hold way more. Now, back to the rulebook, with which I have one major qualm. Part 3 describes how to play and read the cards. According to the rules, if a card has a white background, you must name the monster shown regardless of which word is written below it. If a card has a colored background and the monster shown on the card matches the written word below, you must say the color of the written word. Finally, and this is where my issue arises, the instructions state that “if any colored or white card has a monster picture and the word below does not match, you must read the word.” This contradicts the rule about naming the monster shown on a white card, regardless of whether the word below matches. I hope that the manufacturer will correct this ASAP. For now, I’m going to follow the first rule about how to read white cards and only apply the final rule to colored cards. Now, to discuss gameplay. First of all, because this is a highly color-based game, I would not recommend it to those that are colorblind. In general, my husband and I did not enjoy playing this. Even playing slowly, it’s hard to remember which action to perform, since there’s no logical reason why you might name the monster, read the word, or say the color of the word other than because the instructions say so. It reminded me of what it would be like to play (the much more fun game) “Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes” as the “expert” without being allowed to refer to the bomb manual. In our practice run of Don’t Bee Last, we kept having to refer to the instructions after every single card flip. It just wasn’t fun for us, and we decided to pack it up and do something else pretty quickly. We immediately discussed how much worse it would have been to have 6 people playing, all confused about under what circumstances to say what. Ugh. Maybe others enjoy this game, but it’s not something we’ll likely play again.
