PopSockets: PopGrip for MagSafe - Expanding Phone Stand and Grip with a Swappable Top for Smartphones and Cases - Blue Nebula

I recently picked up the PopSockets PopGrip for MagSafe, and I can't believe I waited this long to try it! This little gadget has completely changed how I use my phone. First off, the installation was super easy—just snap it onto my MagSafe-compatible case, and I was good to go. Been interested in a pop socket for video recording stability (read: grip) for a while but never really wanted to sacrafice my phone or case to a sticker I have no clue would leave residue or not on the phone. Enter this! Attached to an iPhone 13 Pro Max in an official MagSafe Leather Case, I can literally swing the phone around by the pop socket and it will not budge. More than adequate for filming the kids running around on a climbing frame or round the garden without worry. I wouldn't want to try and shot put my phone by it as I expect that might be too much force, but above average force it'll stay magnetised amazingly! The biggest downside is the pop socket can only magnetise to the MagSafe magnet on the rear of the phone in one way, and the socket itself isn't adjustable on the mounting magnet plate, meaning the pop socket could be in an odd place or your hands. I have large hands, and the Pro Max is a large phone, but I find the socket itself is actually not where I would have stuck one down and feels too high, so I actually find it harder to stretch over the phone for some buttons or areas like for notifications. My wife has very small hands and said similar (although she said she'd not have such a large phone) so it may fit nicer on a iPhone or iPhone Mini. I also found with the 13 Pro Max, if you extend the socket to use it as a stand, the phone being quite large and heavy, a gentle tap on YouTube and my phone falls down. But, if you set a film off and just leave it, it will stay put. A small annoyance especially if you watch stuff while you work, or washing up and need to skip adverts! That all said, it does exactly what it says on the marketing material. When flattened, it's not all that thick and has never come off in my pocket (which I read the MagSafe Wallet does all the time) - So the magnets in this must be on another level!

I absolutely love this PopGrip for MagSafe. I’ve used it every single day since I bought it, and it’s made a huge difference. No more “iPhone finger” — that little groove in your pinky from holding the phone at the bottom is officially gone! The magnetic attachment fits really well and is strong and secure, and the grip feels natural whether I’m scrolling, texting, or watching videos. The swappable top is a nice touch too - easy to customise without fuss. Simple, effective, and genuinely improves daily phone use. Wouldn’t go back!

I for a new iPhone 15 and bought this to use with a thin MagSafe case and it worked perfectly. The magnet is strong enough that it won’t come off unless you peel and almost pry it away from your phone. That said removal is not difficult, it just makes you aware of the magnets strength. I would recommend this for anyone who likes to use pop sockets but doesn’t want to stick one to a case or buy a phone specific case. I’m not currently using it as I am using a quad lock case with a 3d printed and modified pop socket (pop socket please make one to fit quad lock cases) but I have kept it as it can be used with any MagSafe phone. Definitely recommend

I haven’t had a pop socket for quite a while, because I didn’t love the way they stuck out in my pocket. This is exactly what I wanted it to be. Not only can you take it off when you don’t want it there, or if you’re putting your phone in a holder in the car or something, but if you don’t need it in that moment, you don’t have to have it. It’s also got the little platform where the magnets are, which almost makes it more low profile, because it’s not one big sticking out circle, so it doesn’t dig in uncomfortably in your pocket. Not to mention you can also swap the top of it, to change the design however you want. It’s also a great fidget item haha.

Have used popsockets for years and wanted a MagSafe one so I could also do wireless charging. After buying the wrong one at first I am glad to have this one finally. The magnetic hold is really strong and I definitely won’t be dropping my phone any time soon! Loses two stars: the product is great but it’s overpriced for what it is. Also by paying the premium to get a popsocket, I expect better than the annoying sticker on the back which took me 15 minutes to peel off completely. There’s a pull tab which shows it should come off, but it tears into little pieces and the layers separate making it so difficult to get off. Unless you have nails to scrap it off with or an adhesive dissolver (which could damage the product surface) I don’t know how you’re supposed to get the sticker off.

Before this I was using the sticky popsockets, which would occasionally come off but this one is amazing. It's very sturdy, both on the pro and mini versions of the iPhones. I can hold the phone by this and shake it, and the magnet still doesn't come off. I've been using this for 3 months now and it still looks brand new, the color didn't fade, and it's very sturdy. It also doesn't leave any residue on the phone or case either (I've been using it without a phone case). If you want to use this over a case though, make sure you get the magsafe cases, otherwise the magnet will not be strong enough to hold the phone over the case.

I love this, even though I only use an iPhone 15 pro and not the max it still helps with hand fatigue and when laying in bed or on a train. The fact you can take it off if you’re going on a night out or just want a change makes this way better than any stick on attachments. The magnets are strong and if using a MagSafe case it’s really secure. A bit pricey but I’d say it’s worth it if you use your phone a lot.
