LED technology has revolutionised the lighting industry. No longer do manufacturers have to take heat into account in their designs while still delivering high intensity light. The greatest benefit, of course, is the saving in energy which helps your pocket and the environment.This clip on light from VSLIFE is such a product. The unit barely gets lukewarm even at maximum brightness. The brightness can be adjusted in 10 steps with the lower levels more than suitable as a night light for a child. As well as adjustable brightness, the light temperature can also be changed in 3 steps. Personally, I like the daylight white colour for most purposes but the yellower light would be preferable in say a bedroom.I ordered the silver version which is very much like a chrome finish. It is an all metal construction so should be pretty sturdy. The flexible tubing is very reminiscent of what we use to call a goose neck. It's strong enough to stay in the position you set it. The clamp is big and strong and the jaws are protected with a rubbery material to avoid damage to whatever you clip it to.The fixed USB lead is about 1.5m in length with an inline controller. This controller acts as the on/off switch, brightness control and colour control. Unfortunately, the controller does not have a memory. It will remember its settings while USB power is connected but forgets its settings once the USB power is removed. This is a shame.You will need to supply the USB power as no adaptor is supplied. As the unit draws 8W of power when on full, you really need a supply of 5V at 2A. It's unlikely that a standard USB port on a computer would be able to supply enough power. So please keep this in mind.I paid £15.99 for this light which is a pretty fair price considering the quality of construction. However, I am disappointed with the lack of memory.I hope you found my review helpful.

I was specifically looking for a lamp that can be used as a piano music light. For this purpose it works very nicely. It simply clips to the back of the music stand and can be adjusted to pretty much any angle, although I did use some pipe lagging to protect the piano.It has 3 colour temperature selections and about 15 brightness settings. I really like the control unit with on/off, brightness up, brightness down and colour temperature buttons. It also works fine when connected to a power bank and a 10000mAh pack should last about 5-6 hours from my calculations.One word of caution - there appears to be no evidence of CE certification on the product or packaging. I did however check the manufacturers website, which states it has CE and RoHS certificates. I got this because it is dimable and has cool light not just bright white light, so that I could have it on while my wife sleeps, and so that I would easily sleep once I switched it off myself.It does all that. However, the on/off switch has a very bright blue LED behind it, meaning that there is both the dreaded blue light that resets your circadian rhythm, and when the light is switched off, there is still a very bright light to keep you awake.As such, I has to put electrical tape over the switch. 3 stars, as it does what I want it to do, but 2 stars knocked off for the fact I had to modify the product.

It's a lamp. a desk one. it has a clip thing to grab the desk.It does what a lamp do. 3 different light modes and options as to how much light you'd like.I am to still test it has there is still daylight.

We bought 2 lamps. One for our room, one for our daughter's room. We all love it. Only downside is that it doesn't always tend to stay in many of the positions you put the flexible head in.

This is a brilliant light. Neck can be angled to exactly the right position for working. The dimmer function is fabulous... so many options. Would definitely recommend this product.

tbh i didnt think i would bother writing a review for a lamp but this is really, really good, especially considering its price, its sturdy, has 3 different shades of light and brightness settings as well as being soft lit, not just a bulb, i have it on a table to light books, writing and drawing and its perfect

I had a lamp ordered, and the switch went after 3 1/2 months. I was disappointed as the lamp on it's own works very nice. I did give a negative remark, but the seller has been that good, and did give me a partial (generous) refund, so that I ordered it again. % stars to the seller !!!!
