Very fun family game that had us all laughing
We are big game fans and, when we go to see family for holidays, we always bring at least 10 easy to learn or party games. I ordered this knowing we would be coming down to see the (adult) kids for the year end holidays. The game did not disappoint! The box contains a box of pencils, a pad of scoresheets, 2 drawing pads, 6 scoring cards, 2 timers, and eraser and 120 cards that each have items listed on them (5 categories on each card). You start off choosing which category you want and that is the only category used during the entire game.Unlike other drawing games we have played, everyone has their own cards. All players start drawing at the same time and, when you finish your drawing, you grab the highest score card remaining. Once the 2nd to last score card is taken, the last player has to stop drawing and then you split into 2 teams. This is a very different set up as teams aren't chosen beforehand, but AFTER everyone is done and is based on what score card you grabbed. We played with 5 players and the person who picked 1st and 4th cards were one team and 2,3 and 5 were on the other. This is the only downside to the game (but not a huge downside....more on this later). Each team member now has to show their drawing to the other members and they have to guess. Once they do, the next team member does the same and so on. Each team has 30 seconds. Any picture that isn't guessed is shown to the other team who has one chance to guess and, if correct, they get a bonus point. The other team now does the same thing.I mentioned a downside and it comes when you are scoring each teams points. Each scoring card has a point value on it. Any correct guesses award the points listed. Any incorrect guesses are subtracted from the teams total. Since teams are changing each round, it can be a bit confusing when trying to score. It's not hard to add/subtract, you just have to make sure you are adding the points to the correct team member though. Thankfully, the game includes an eraser since we had to make a few corrections along the way. I do think that this is a unique team mechanism since it's not like some other games where, if one team is really good at drawing and/or guessing, and the other isn't, no one gets frustrated while playing. The games play to 20 points, which goes relatively fast (I think the most we got through was 8 in one game) so it is good for keeping kids interested since there really is no down time.We had a LOT of fun, we were laughing almost the entire time looking at some of the "artwork" and trying to guess or watching the other team trying to guess theirs. The kids asked to play it 3 more times after the first game! If you are looking for a quick filler game on game night, or if you are playing with non-gamer family/friends, this is a great choice.

Fun game!
This is an enjoyable game that is fun to play with the family. It's fast paced and sometimes kind of silly. The suggested age is 8+, but I think as long as a child can read and draw, 8 is not a hard limit. My 4 year old could understand how to play in general.

Quick and Fun Family Game
We are a tough crowd to please, but we all enjoyed this game. The instructions were easy to follow and quick to get through. The game also moves quickly and doesn’t take long. The only thing that was a bit confusing was the scoring. Teams change from round to round and it’s easy to lose track of the score.

Fun Chaotic Game
Doodle Mayhem comes in a small compact box and contains all the pieces necessary to play the game. The instructions are basic and it doesn't take long to learn how to play. It can be played in a relatively short amount of time so it is nice when you have a limited amount of time to play. The game is titled well since it is a bit chaotic. My family had a good time but have enjoyed other drawing games more.

Easy and Fun
This game is very simple. It only takes a few minutes to learn. You must have at least four players to play. Each person picks a card, and the card tells them what to draw. The players race each other to finish their drawing first, but the drawing has to be good enough for other players to guess what it is. When everyone is finished drawing, you get paired with another player to form a team. If your teammate guesses what you draw, you both get points. Each round you might have a different team. The first person to get to 20 points wins. The game is a lot of fun, and you don't have to be great at drawing to enjoy it. The game comes with 120 cards, and each card has five items on it, so the game can be played many times without repeating items. You also get points cards, pencils, drawing pads and a timer. I wish the box had dividers so everything could be stored a little more neatly in the box. This game is fun for kids and adults, but the kids have to be old enough to read.

Fun game that would be great for all ages
Played this game with my family over the holidays and we had a blast. We've played doodle games before and this one did not disappoint!Basic idea is the whole group chooses one category, then after saying the magic words, everyone starts drawing at the same time... in secret and different things in that category (listed on the card). The first person to finish grabs the first card (that's worth the most points), the second done grabs the second card and so on. When everyone is done, you break into teams (this is laid out clearly in the rules as odds and evens with some exceptions based on number of players) and using a timer, guess what the other people drew. The more you guess, the more points you get. It's a blast! We found that even though some of the things seem like they would be easy to draw, trying to be the first few done to get the most points for your drawing adds a fun challenge. Gotta draw it so people can guess it!Would definitely recommend!

Simple enough for many ages, but a little pricey maybe
It's a pretty good game, really simple to understand and play with many different ages (both adults and children have played it in our house so far). It's well packaged and presented and definitely kills some time. A decent one for the games cupboard! I do however think it's a little expensive however... £20 at the time of writing and I do think that's too high for what it is.

Great game for party nights
This is a simple enough game, but lots of fun - it means that a wide age range can play, and there's no frustration involved as there can be with some games involving differing skill levels. This is a free for all drawing frenzy with lots of laughter included as you try to guess each other's doodles, and although it involves counting points, you'll be having too much fun to care who wins or loses! Great for kids to play, but great for grown up nights out too, especially after a few drinks. It's a little on the expensive side at £20, but it's really good fun.

Great for family game night!
We are a family that play a lot of board games, and having yet another game to add in to the rotation is never a bad thing. The more off-screen time we have, the better! This doodling/drawing game is a lot of fun and was appreciated both by us parents and our son (age 10) The game is basically you trying to draw (more like doodle since it's timed) as fast as possible whilst the others need to figure out what the doodle is supposed to be. It's stressful, which adds to even funnier images in the end hehe. Not the type of game you will sit and play time after time during the same night but absolutely a great game to have to swap out with when monopoly has gotten everyone in a sour mood, this will surely make you smile again.Highly recommend!

Fun, easy, quick fire game
Doodle Mayhem is a good party/Christmas game, as comes packaged in a small box, is easy to pick up and is hilarious, especially when lubricated. Lets face it, big, complex board games are not in fashion anymore, so for the perfect gift you want one of these easier to play, funny, more raucous games. Good concept, and really fun, and can be played even by young children. The everyone goes at the same time approach is fun, and chaotic, but loses a star for me as it does make the game slightly too chaotic - it can accelerate the inevitable arguing because too much is happening, but that might just be me.

Simple game to learn, easy to play, good with family and friends
This is a simple game to learn and play, ideal with family and friends in the evening or Xmas afternoon! We played after a glass of wine or two and soon descended into Taskmaster-type levels of banter regarding drawings that looked nothing like their subject, and the ineptitude of others to guess the subject from a doodle. That's the fun of the game, to be honest :)If you like complex strategy games, this isn't for you, but its great for fun with friends
