To short for anything bigger if don’t want to put hands in tank. Scraper itself is awesome and works great.

It works and works well. Very well made. Blades are sharp and require little pressure/effort to remove stubborn green/brown algae from corners of my reef tank.

This product has made cleaning the aquarium a BREEZE! I was using a floating magnet before and it would NOT clean off the stubborn algae at all. I did not want to use a normal razor because I did not want the glass to scratch. These blades are "bendy" and work great. I would purchase this over and over!!!

I have 2 freshwater aquariums and the thin razor in these cleans the class quickly and effectively. I've previously run a reef aquarium and this type of blade would clean ordinary algae just fine, but would be bent and worn down if used on coraline. I'd use a bulkier, thicker scraper for tackling that and keep this for what it's best at, quickly peeling off everyday green algae.I did have a few moments of puzzling over installation of the razor. A simple diagram or instruction would have been helpful. Other similar products use a screw setup to hold the blade in place, but this one has a holder that simply slides into the end of the scraper. It took me a minute to figure out that you need to look for the protruding end of the holder and pull it out sideways.

I originally purchased two (one for me and the other for my daughter) POPETPOP 26in Aquarium Aluminum Alloy Algae Scraper Cleaner with 10 Replaceable Scrapers for Glass Fish Tank (ASIN B07MPX56DL,) thinking the adjustable head would be a benefit. It was not the POPETPOP would never tighten enough so the angle would not change, then finally broke at the adjustment connection. Both of them were this way. The YOFOTHS Algae Scraper has a built-in angle that is just right for removing algae. I also like the removable cartridge design for replacing the blades, much simpler than the two screws on the POPETPOP. I have used a Mag-Float-30 Small Glass Aquarium Cleaner (ASIN B012XZ578O) for years, which works very well, but you have to work much harder to remove green spot algae. If you use sand or fine gravel in your tank the Mag-Float can pick up particles and scratch your glass. The YOFOTHS Algae Scraper has not scratched the glass and is long enough to work in tanks from shallow breeders to standard 55-gallon and even 40-gallon tall tanks. The slim design allows be to get between plants and the glass where-as the Mag-Float always seemed to more easily damage the plants. This is for glass tanks only, would damage acrylic tanks. I would recommend this product.

works great! we have a great big aquarium for our RES turtle and fish. this is perfect for reaching in and scraping . love the long handle. works well.

I like the long handle as it works well in my 150 gal tank to reach all the way down the sides. It comes with a pack of replacement blades that you can change out when necessary. Only down side I have found is that the long handle is so long and thin that it is hard to hold on to at times. The long handle is also straight so when you apply force to it is makes it bend a little bit. This did not impact its algae scrapping abilities but made my arms more sore from have to apply such pressure to get stubborn algae off.

The media could not be loaded.  I have a regular 55-gallon aquarium that I tested this product on. In the past I have tried using scrubber brushes to clean algae off as well as straight edge razor blades.Pros -- Two approximately 12" long sturdy metal extension pieces and you can use one extension or both to attach to the blade holder.- The extension pieces are grooved along the length their length to ensure a firm grip even if wet.- Comes with 10 blades to ensure you have enough to last a while.- Scraped off algae easily.Cons - No instructions on how to install the blades! If it hadn't been for a previous reviewer's comment about pulling one end out of the head, I'm not sure how long it would have taken to figure it out on my own. The product should include a drawing instruction showing you that one end of the blade holder actually pulls to the side and out. Once the removable piece is out, you take apart the two pieces, lay the thin blade between them, first by aligning the holes in the blade with the bumps on the bottom piece and then placing the top piece back on. After that is just a matter of sliding the pullout piece back into the head. (See video clip.)
