Awesome Ukulele
As many of the other reviews said, it doesn't keep the tune well. You'll have to adjust it everytime you pick it up to play, but from what i've seen they are minor adjustments. I love it, my wife and family not to much because I'll play whenever I can and they are getting pretty much annoyed now.I recommend the Tenor size if you have big manly hands... but if you have small girly hands you might like this as well. Also with the tenor you have a lot of space in between the frets to play comfortably. If you already know how to play the guitar this should be an easy transition... if you don't then it's still easy to play. Also the guitar is a bit rough on the finish... but it doesn't bother me... I know at first I thought they forgot to sand the ukulele, but I like it... it builds character!I recommend this to anyone... and just sit back and enjoy the waves... and then wake up to a snowstorm... that didn't make sense... but to me it did... is that a smurf?

Great Value
Oscar Schmidt and Amazon are amazing, it's only been two days and it's here! No dents in the box, and no damage to the Uke. Stringed instruments are always shipped with the strings slack (just tight enough to stay straight), so I must tune this thing to see (hear) what I've got. Now, to check the action, I see that the neck is straight, the frets are level, and the strings don't rattle and buzz. Oscar put GHS strings on this Uke ... not my favorite, but not bad. Measuring from the top of the 12th fret to the underside of the G string, I measure 3 mm (1/8 in). Next, I check the space between the 1st fret and the underside of the G string. It measures less than 0.2 mm (0.008 in). I'd like it to be just a little bit more, but it works. In the future, I may lower the bridge about 1 mm (0.040 in) but not before everything settles. It looks great, it sounds great and it plays great. For the money, this Ukulele can't be beat. :)

Be Wary. Not as advertised.
Very poor workmanship/construction quality. Veneer easily chips off. Sound is ok.Company response is non existent. Be wary.

Much better than expected
I was shopping for a tenor ukulele for under 100 dollars that I could carry from place to place without being too concerned aboutdamage. I needed a tenor uk because my fingers aren't what they once were, - I'm in my late seventies. This Oscar Schmidtlooks great, sounds extremely good, and really easy to play. The only thing I didn't like was the strings that come on it,I corrected this with Aquila strings which made it sound even better, and easier on my fingers. Other wise I would rate it five stars.

My BIG hands are lov'n it
Just took up the Uke and found the fret spacing on the soprano uke to be a little challenging for my big hands. The Tenor uke is just what I needed. Sounds great, not to expensive and seems really well built. It's stays in tune reasonably well (I do tune it just before playing.)I only gave it four stars because the finish is a little rough. Nothing a little fine sand paper won't fix though.

Great uke for a great price.
I bought this ukulele as a starter uke for myself. I had no prior knowledge about ukuleles, nor did I know how to play, but after doing some research on a good brand and a good starter, I found this ukulele. This ukulele is priced for at least $50-$100 more on the Oscar Schmidt site so the amazon price is already an amazing bargain. The sound quality is great and it's extremely easy to play. I've only had it for 2 months and I'm already a pretty good player. I would recommend this instrument to anyone looking for an affordable starter uke. I would also urge anyone looking to stay away from the cheaper priced ukes- you definitely get what you pay for!

Oscar Schmidt OU2T Mahogany Tenor Ukulele
I purchased an inexpensive soprano Uke a few months ago because I had never played and wasn't sure I would be able to learn. To my delight it was one of the easiest instruments to play, but I didn't like the sound of the cheap uke, so I 'upgraded ' to this one. I wanted something less than 100 that had a decent sound and this one fits the bill. It stays in tune pretty well and I like the sound it produces.

An excellent beginner, intermediate or whatever level at which you're playing ukulele
Grandson's first ukulele. He loves it, so therefore so do I. The uke is well constructed, finely finished, the usual rough fret edges that are easily smoothed, great strings very little extra stretching during tuning-in process. Excellent tone and playability. I would have purchased two but as I already have two tenor ukes.... A note of honest caution, once you buy and play a ukulele you probably won't be happy until you own several; they are very addictive.

Oscar Schmidt OU2T Ukulele
I just adore the sound of this OS OU2T ukulele of mine. I own a Concert size uke made by another brand butthis Oscar Schmidt Tenor size tops everything. It has volume, playability (longer finger board)and keeps its tunefor most of the time. I practice 4-5 hours everyday and this beauty keeps up with its tune. I also love the originalHawaiian look of its mahogany body combined with that true ukulele sound. Affordable price, just love everything.Looking forward to owning one of the Spalted Mango versions someday.Great buy, uke enthusiasts! Playing my ukulele keeps me forever happy.
