This is a pretty cool skirt. Surprisingly good quality given that I bought it off amazon. I'm very happy with it. I followed the chart and it fit as expected.

I am 5'7" with a 34" waist and normally wear a size 12/14. I bought the XL in this skirt knowing it might be a little too small based off the size chart. The material is very stiff but good quality fabric and seams. I slide the skirt on and it just fit, barely though. It was a little uncomfortable to wear at first but the more I wore it around the house, the more the fabric relaxed and felt decent. I still think it's a tad too small for me but true to the American Apparel size chart. I will keep it though bc I love the colors and style.

the waistband does not stretch pretty much at all but i really like that as it sits perfectly around my waist and doesn’t move. it is shorter than i expected but not too short as to be inappropriate. the quality is fantastic and it’s a super cute skirt. my waist size is 23-24 and i usually have a pretty hard time finding skirts that actually stay up and aren’t WAYYY too short but this one was amazing

Very cute skirt , it’s fashionable & gives a schoolgirl chic look. Only thing is that it can be short I feel as though it should’ve been shorts under but nonetheless.
