The over the door hooks are too wide for my door.Otherwise I will make them work.

I have double doors to my laundry and out one on each side and they work great. I’ve always had the longer metal ones that kept getting stuck when c,owing the door. I can either leave these down or flip them up. Very sturdy

I was looking for some hooks to use to hang exercise clothes and towels on the door. I tried a couple different styles. This one is nice because it folds down to extend over 6 inches out from the door, which keeps the clothes and towel further from the door, which provides more airflow around the clothes as they aren’t sitting against the door. The price is a little much for this, but they seem to be sturdy and look relatively nice, and for some items, having that 6 inches of space would be useful. For example, if you had something really bulky.These are made to go on doors up to almost 2 inches thick. I had not really thought about the thickness of the door, but the ones in my house are thinner than 2 inches, so instead of fitting nice and snug on my door, it leans and rattles. I may find something to fill in the sizable gap between the thickness of my door and the space allowed by this hook so that the hooks sit better on the door. I do not consider this to be a defect of the product because the product clearly states what size door it fits on, and it was my fault for not measuring the thickness of my door. Granted, I probably would have gotten these anyway. It’s not that difficult to rig up a spacer.

The two over-the-door hooks were packaged in a small brown box, nestled together with a soft foam sheet wrapped around them. The powder-coated white finish on the steel over-the-door part looks great, no blemishes at all. The fold-out wood part is very well-sanded, and attaches to the metal part with an adjustable screw. There is a small magnet in the tip of the wood part, with just the right amount of strength to hold it closed while being easy to reopen. Two self-adhesive strips of grippy translucent silicone/rubber were provided, for sticking on the fold-out wood surface where hangers will be hung; the peel-off backings said these use name-brand 3M adhesive. The strips I received were cut to an appropriate length to fit in the hanger areas with minimal gaps.I owned several other styles of over-the-door hooks already, and those were all designed for the most common American interior door thickness, about 1 3/8 inches (1.375 in, or 3.5 cm). This new pair of hooks were designed for thicker doors, about 1 3/4 inches (1.75 in, or 4.5 cm); this thickness is usually only seen on doors wider than 36 inches or taller than 90 inches. The product description/images just said they could be used on doors "less than 4.5cm/1.77inch" thick; technically it *can* be used on any doors less than that size, but the results are undesirable on thinner doors. To make them fit properly on my doors instead of loosely rattling around, I added a couple layers of small spacers cut from corrugated plastic board (foamboard or corrugated cardboard would work too), held onto the inside of the metal hook bracket with double-stick tape. (Note that the grippy strips I used in the clothes-hanger areas were much thinner than the amount of space that needed filling here; they could only have made up for about a third of the gap if used that way instead.)The top of the sturdy metal hooks were a tiny bit too thick for the first door I tried them on to be able to close, but they worked fine on my other doors, so it seems that one door was just installed with a slightly-too-small gap between the door and the doorframe. Several of my other over-the-door hooks are the same thickness as these new ones.These would probably be a five-star product for someone with 1 3/4 inch thick doors, but I'm giving four stars since they needed homemade modifications to not be loose/rattle-y on the widely-used 1 3/8 inch thick doors. As a suggestion for improvement, the manufacturer could start including a pair of 3/8-inch thick stick-on pads precut to cover the inner side of the back part of the hook, to allow easy adaptation for 1 3/8 inch doors.

You can hang so much on them. I love that you can can flip it up when not in use.These fit perfectly on my doors. Don't know if they fit exterior doors, but no issues on interior doors.They are sturdy and will hold a lot of weight. They come with strips to adhere to the top to make it more grippy for whatever you hang.Do wish they were a bit cheaper, but they are nice.Hope this was helpful.

I think what bothers me the most overall is the fact that neither hook falls to a perfect 90deg angle.. but other than that it’s pretty well made. The 3m pieces that come with it may not be the most accurate sizing but hopefully you don’t receive ones that are too short. Mine were both a touch too long but it’s easy to trim them down for a flush application. My door is about a centimeter thinner than max width these can take but that’s easily fixed by a strip of foam. The white metal seems to be powder coated for durability and give off a more attractive matte finish. I do recommend as this is quite nice if you lack space in a closet or need a solution to dry certain items without laying them over chairs. I wouldn’t place more than 7-8lbs on one.
