We have just bought 1/4 acre of very neglected garden. It is a ramble jungle! How much SBK will I need?

I bought 1lt for a 5th acre and I still have some left. I used a brush cutter to clear it first then treated the new growth when it appeared. Six months later I turfed it then just spot treated any new growth coming through the turf. It doesn't affect grass at all. that was nearly 2 years ago and there is no noticeable growth of bramble or nettles I think due to a combination of spot treatment and regular mowing.Hope this helps

Does this product kill marestail aka horsetail?

I used this on horsetail last year and had a very good result, not every bit was eradicated but I have good expectations that with an application each year,  that it will keep it at bay (it spreads into my garden from a neighbouring field). Not only that, but because only the grass survived, now I have lush grass growing. I have bought more in preparation for horsetail re-growth this spring/summer.

I used this 4 days ago on blackberry brambles - the ends of the vines drooped a bit but nothing else as yet, any advice welcome

Provided you cut brambles to ground level, just wait and give it a chance.
As new bramble shoots emerge ,apply then.
worked a treat on lawned embankment in my garden that had become overgrown.
the sparse remains of the grass underneath has recovered (not killed) and is about to drop seed ,before being cut back down to nearer a normal lawn length. No brambles have come back in large area I did.

does it kill Ground Elder?

I have not tried it on ground elder.  If you can drill holes in the larger roots and pour in neat SBK  that will work. If you have to spray onto foliage make sure it is growing, dry, and no rain for at least 10 hours afterwards. it is foliar acting. it does not work on grass. Glyphosate may work better treat it as SBK.
