Good quality. You can smell the fragrance as soon as you open the box. We use the Saffron for my wife to support her pregnancy, and I believe the content is just enough. Although, one suggestion for those who purchase is - crush the strands with your fingers to extract maximum colour from them before mixing them into milk or whatever you choose. Overall, a good purchase for the price

Good product. Produces a good taste. It isn't course expensive but that's the way it goes with Saffron. I would buy this product again.

This saffron arrives in a small plastic case that is sealed and bound in gold twine. It's like opening a special present as you break the seal, then remove the twine and lastly break the sticker seal. Then the fiddly, frustrating part of trying to ease off the lid without the prescious strands flying into the air and landing unceremoniously on the floor as your cries of NOOOO reverberate around the room. Now, having experience of removing said lid, I recommend you wiggle & jiggle it just a little bit and ease it off carefully. When the lid is removed, the heady scent of fresh fruity tobacco hits your senses and creates a contented sigh from somewhere deep inside, I have no idea why. but, this really is a quality saffron, deep red throngs and full heady scent. It gives my food a depth of flavour that is lacking when I don't use this even though it has no distinct flavour when used sparingly but you definitely know its there. It's also great to colour rice etc, leave a pinch of saffron to steep in hot water and the vibrant sunshine yellow seeps from the red throngs and creates a great natural colour. Beware of clothing and porous worktops as this stuff will stain! As someone who makes various sauces etc I would very much recommend this brand of quality saffron.

This is the real deal, there is another taste awards saffron called banu saffron sold on Amazon, watch out it's FAKE, I was so upset to be SCAMMED, it has no aroma and no flavor only colour!!!! Anyway I then purchased this one and it's completely different, you can smell the beautiful fragrance as soon as you take the lid off, unlike the other one, and the taste is amazing. Highly recommend.
